  Amazing Rooms

  The staff is welcoming. The food is well prepared with a touch of Rwandan food. The room is just amazing. I love the bed, it is so comfortable and clean, smells good! I would live in there for years. The sauna is clean and not crowded.

  Excellent hotel with great amenities and service

  Stayed for nine nights in January 2020. Very friendly and professional staff. The room was very nice, quiet, and had all the modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The food was good and there are many options/styles to choose from. The room had A/C that worked very well!!

  Perfect in every way

  I stayed in this hotel with a group of others because we were in Rwanda visiting a water project. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. In every way, it was a perfect stay. The hotel is extremely clean and the bedrooms very comfortable and luxurious.

  Great rooms, extremely slow service!

  Stayed at the hotel for 30 hours on the government quarantine after landing in Kigali. As other reviewers say, the rooms are well laid out with comfortable bed and good amenities eg TV, iron, safe, air conditioning, spacious clean bathroom, good placement of electric sockets and good wifi. The staff were warm & friendly. So why the average rating? Service was really slow! I was restricted to room service and on one occasion, it took an hour to get a menu, after several calls to the reception, restaurant and room service desk. I asked the reception for a technician to turn on my air conditioning, which the cleaning crew seemed to have deactivated when they turned down the room. No one showed up at all. All the meal orders took at least an hour to fulfil and I ended up canceling my final breakfast order (had called at 5.45am to ask for it and it hadn't come by 6.45!) At some point, I became skeptical that any of my service requests would be replied to within a reasonable time. They also have a system where it takes several calls by different people to your room before they confirm your order - which was mildly irritating after a while. Finally, I suggest they invest in new towels as the ones in the bathroom though clean are showing wear. Quite a shame too as I would otherwise have really enjoyed my time here!

  Lovely quarantine stay

  We spent a night at the Grand Legacy under mandatory quarantine before visiting family in Rwanda. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely - a welcome relief after being warned that the food isnt great at many of the quarantine hotels.
