  Exceptional staff but lacking in all else

  n my previous visit here I stayed in Sanur & Nusa Dua. I incorrectly thought this was going to be a good location. We didnt hire scooters & got taxis regularly & it would have worked out better to have stayed in Seminyak. Theres very little within walking distance. A Starbucks, McDonalds, Burger King are nearby. We ate out every night & got taxis back late as there wasnt anything to do nearby. It took 10-20 minutes to Seminyak square & about 30 -40minutes to Kuta beach by taxi depending on traffic. The service from staff was exceptional. Friendly, always happy to help. But everything else was not good it was more 2 star than 3. One example of great staff is one day we had a tour and my laundry was to be dropped off. I gave the money to the front desk and they paid for it and there it was when we returned. I got laundry done elsewhere as it was far cheaper at only 50,000 including pick up and drop off. We got sold a tour to Ubud which was ok. Our driver was nice but we spent about 70% of the day in the car. Its a long way for a day trip stuck in traffic so keep this in mind. It didnt feel worth it because of this. Also we didnt know but we got to the monkey forest and it was closed when we arrived so that wasnt great either. The rooms are quite old unfortunately and the towels were not what I would call white they were more of a grey colour. We had packed our own towels luckily. The furniture is quite old. The beds were comfortable. The sheets were fresh and clean. There were cracked tiles on the floor and the mirror had some rust. The breakfast was more Asian cuisine so we ate pancakes and some fruit here twice because there was nothing close by in terms of cafes to choose from. Please be mindful other visitors may not use tongs at breakfast. We were put off eating because many other people used their hands to touch food. Unfortunately we did see some rats or mice at night in the hallway and that wasnt a great thing to see. We have since moved to near double six and love it here close to everything for less than what we paid here.

  Amazing hotel with great service

  Loved this hotel so much, definitely recommend it. Also, great for solo travelers as their most of the staff is women so it feels more safer, the area of the hotel is good- they have mini mart, mcd, Starbucks just outside the hotel. Service is great too, rooms are clean and spacious. I stayed in a standard room, bathroom might be a bit small but as long as its clean, works for me. They have 3 pools in the hotel.

  Lovely quiet hotel away from the huddle and bussle

  Lovely hotel. Very quiet but good value for pricing with 2 bedroom little apartments. Ground floor have pool access which was lovely and a bonus. Hotel didnt do money exchange which was not good. Had 3 shallow pools which is nice. No pool bar . Had to get Gojek each time we wanted to go somewhere as taxi is hard to get near hotel even though its near a main road. Loved that Starbucks and mini marts and good places where around the corner including McDonalds including a pharmacy and bank close by. Staff was very lovely and helpful. Breakfast buffet wasnt anything exiting though with poor choices and was always cold never hot so settled a lot for fresh eggs to be made so I knew I could eat something . Cant complain there was food choices but not a lot and was included in our cheap accomodations . I stayed here because I came for dental work at sunset dental but prefer to have markets and stores close by so if you like shopping an dbring closer to nightlife then catch a taxi or Gojek ( download the app on your phone as its very cheap ) or stay in Kuta or more inner Legian. Room kept having air conditioner issues with water and ice spraying at us on our bed a few times and safe always coming up with error but they were very quick to fix each time . Was a lovely stay all in all

  Run down hotel complete with cockroaches, mosquitoes, flies, filthy linen, towels and bathrooms.

  I normally don't leave negative reviews, this is my first ever. I honestly do not know how this hotel has been rated 4 stars. If I were responsible for rating it, I would not award it more than 1 star. This place is generally rundown, old, dark, chipped furniture and tiles, towels that are meant to be white are a light shade of grey with frayed edges, toilet bowl lined with dark streaks, door locks that do not work, smelly bathrooms, not even a toilet paper roll holder or adjustable shower arm (you have to hold with one hand to direct water flow otherwise the water will flow horizontally). The 2nd day there was a nice juicy cockroach roaming around the room. All of the common areas are hot and humid, the only air conditioning is in the rooms. The lobby is the only presentable area in the whole place. WI-FI is a hit and miss affair and slow. They have cable and small fridge that works. Linen is old with the occasional hole here and there. Mattress is soft and wobbles when you turn. The outside walls are meant to be white but look like they were last painted 40 years ago. I have stayed in dozens of hotels in many cities and this one is by far the worst. The sofa is old and when you sit on it a puff of dust can be seen rising in the air from the cushions. All the furniture is a dark brown and look like the type of furniture that belong in a detention centre. There are good sized swimming pools and morning breakfast is OK. Staff are lovely and very helpful. .
