  Nice rooms in a avarage hotel.

  Also known as the Grand Hoya Hotel. Reception is efficient and the rooms are nice and well equipped. There is a fitness room, european restaurant and breakfast, but for the rest the accomodation is a bit limited. There is only KTV and I haven't seen anyone using the bar in the entrance hall. If you are looking for a hotel with some recration facilities during the evening this is not the place to be. If you just need a good room, dinner and breakfast, it is quite all right.

  Grand Hoya

  The Grand Hoya hotel is a good business hotel if you are looking for a good hotel room with breakfast in Huangdao. The front desk and room service is very helpful but often lack the right communication skills which can be quite frustrating . Breakfast buffet was included with the room rates. The buffet is a combination of both western and chinese dishes. These include assortment of breads , fruits , yoghurts and even hashbrowns. Also in the hotel lounge is a cafe/bar serving among other things the ever so popular Tsingtao beer. All in all the grand hoya is a comfortable hotel to come to after a long days work in China.. PS: There is a buddhist vegan restaurant beind the hotel that serves some amazing food for those interested.

  Ok business hotel

  Although only 2 yrs old, it is starting to age. We put many people including myself at this hotel since its opening. Now looking for alternatives with new hotels opening now in Huangdao. Rooms at grand hoya are now mostly smelling of smoke, i have found mold on the walls of at least 4 rooms. I have to sleep with the wndow open, and a/c off, even in winter, otherwise if my neighbor smakes, i smell it... Breakfast is ok, nothing near a foreign hotel brand, but this is huangdao... This is a chinese 4 star, which means real world 2.5 stars.

  Typical Business Hotel!

  Stayed for a couple of days at the Grand Hoya, language was a problem at the reception, it took me a couple of minutes to get across what I should have in a couple of seconds. The room is well laid out, with a nice view. Housekeeping also does a good job. The room service menu doesn't provide much choice to a foreigner. The breakfast at the restaurant, provides a nice spread in comparison, with a choice of all that one could want for the start of the day.

  Price value is good

  Due to business reasons I stayed here one night. Hotel is far from downtown, but ideal for those in Economic and Technology Development Zone. The pros -Very cheap price including breakfast (below RMB 300) -Efficient check-in (and English is ok) -Room is not huge but fully ok -Wireless was fine -Lobby bar is cheap and open late enough (Tsingato is cheap) -Bed and pillow is soft enough -Coffee is better than usually in this cheap hotels The cons -Breakfast is pretty low level for westerners, but ok for the price -Some signs of wear and tear in somewhat not so old hotel For this price level this is really ok hotel. I will stay here next time when in this area. Good value.
