    Long weekend with daughter

Good hotel. we stayed for a long weekend with a double and single room which was well appointed very clean and pleasantly decorated if a little tired this added to the charm. Nice spa and indoor swimming pool very clean and with charming staff same with the reception bar staff and housekeeping. Adequate breakfast with a good selection, however, staff apart from one lady who was very helpful and charming rather abrupt in the restaurant. Big outdoor pool with plenty of furniture to laze about on which is well looked after and very pretty and the hotel is very central a few minutes walk to the beach and the centre. Fair size Supermarket with chemist very close100mtrs

A first to this country and a first to this hotel.

Our first visit to this hotel and our first visit to Bulgaria, we attended a wedding and the Romance Splendid was our base. We were on a b&b basis as our schedule was a busy one, but my wife and I knew as soon as we entered the hotel foyer for the first time that we had chosen well. The receptionist was helpful and pleasant, commanded a good level of English and made us feel welcome. Our room was on the 1st floor and was impressive, a fair-sized room tastefully appointed, with some surprising extras included. Bath robes and slippers and even a shoehorn, along with shoe polishing implements were all a new experience to our hotel stays. After a freshen up we went to explore the surrounding area, again a first-time experience in this part of the world, but tiredness from a long days travelling cut that short. The evening heat was still intense so the hotel room air conditioning was most welcome and compared to some we have encountered it was quiet as well. The bathroom was a fair size with a good selection of bathroom consumables, a large mirror plus a shaving mirror on an extendable arm affixed to the wall. And bed, too warm to sleep in it so we spent a week laid on the top of it. The room outlook was nothing to shout about, a small balcony looked out over the street and hotel entrance, the balcony had a mosquito repellent mesh outer door so the inner door could be left ajar. Down to our 1st breakfast and here things were pretty much the same as the many other hotels that we have stayed in. A typical continental type breakfast with some options of hot food. Fried eggs, sausages, and other things, pizzas, all complemented the salad cheese and meat foods, of which there was a fair choice. The food was fine, I particularly liked the bread you cut from a roll, I chose the darker bread, just more tasty I thought. Add yogurt, olives, a choice of bread, jams, even honey, tea, many varieties, coffee and fruit juice, and various fruit, and small cakes if you wish, you were hardly likely to go hungry. Well prepared and presented, although on the odd occasion empty food trays were not replenished right away. I've probably missed something but you get the drift, oh yes, the all important, well to some people, toaster. Our used towels were changed everyday as were the used consumables, bed tidied, which completed a general clean up each morning. Because of the heat many people ate, and drank, around the lovely pool area, not that we used the facilities, we gave that up a few years ago. The pool area, like the rest of the hotel, was kept in good order, we cannot comment on the other facilities on offer, like a gym, as we never used them. At our advanced ages it's hard to say if we would return to the hotel, or even Bulgaria, for although not infirm the whole experience of flying and then transfers, ours involved very early morning departures both ways, is taking its toll. So although we may not return this has no bearing of anything negative about this hotel, the overall view is that it is worth your consideration if you are visiting the area of St Constantine & Helena. But be warned, this is no Benidorm or Magaluf, cafés and restaurants yes, small shops yes, but clubs didnt seem to be anywhere close, if at all. A laid-back area, the beaches were fine, and seemed to be the centre of activity, costs for food and drink were reasonable with a good choice. As I have mentioned our ages determine our type of holiday, and if I had one complaint it was the heat, it was intense every day, some peoples view of Heaven maybe, but too much for us.

    Nice Hotel

We visited this hotel with our friends on August, the staff was really friendly, kind and helpful. The breakfast needs improvement as we believe is outdated. You can put more fresh ingredients, sweets and juices.
