Room With a View!Very centrally located hotel right on the beach with a great view of the Adriatic Sea. Our room was spacious and clean, though it and the hotel itself seemed somewhat dated. However, we were comfortable. The food at the hotel was ordinary. Its central location made day trips and browsing in town easy.

Nice hotelDriving up from Brindisi, headed to Bologna I decided to stay at this hotel on the shoreline. I stayed in an executive room, nicely decorated, mid century feeling to the suite. Air conditioner worked well, there was a balcony overlooking the sea, and breakfast was included with my rate. Id like to come back and spend more time on the Adriatic coast.

Great viewView from the hotel was great. Front desk staff are very nice and hotel manager as well very helpful. But the room was extremely dated and old fashioned but for the cleaness, nothing to say, it was spotless. Feels like retired home.the beach facility was okay. We had a spa pool access which was very good. For breakfast, staff were very nice but the dining room was very sad. Overall, hotel with great potential need update the rooms.

Nice hotel on the beachThe hotel is located on the beach. Very nice and helpful staff at the reception. Even if the hotel needs an update the room was very spacious and very clean. We had breakfast included that was ordinary and same almost every days. The Spa and the thermal water pool is a bonus. The restaurant on the beach needs to be a little bit more flexible and take more care of the clients (poor service).

Helpful and gracious staff; lovely accommodations, great locationWe had a most delightful stay at Grand Hotel Terme. The manager, Giovanni, could not have been any more helpful and hospitable. I had contacted him several times prior to our trip to clarify directions, amenities, etc, and he always responded promptly (even on the weekend!). He was waiting for our arrival and escorted us to our accommodations. We stayed at the newly renovated Palazzo Novecento that is part of the hotel. Giovanni made sure that we knew how to use all the appliances, faucets and air conditioning (which can sometimes be tricky!). Our one-bedroom with living room and included kitchenette was perfect. Quality details in the renovation: a fantastic induction stove that we wish we had at home, a large refrigerator/freezer, microwave, pots and pans, dishes and utensils. Well stocked which was perfect for us: we alternated cooking our meals and dining out. The bathroom was large with a fantastic shower--nice hot water with excellent water pressure! And the windows were triple paned so no outdoor noise! And the beds/pillows are super comfortable (would love to have to that mattress at home). The hotel is attached to the Terme of Margherita di Savoia, so the location is perfect. Also beachfront. We made sure to take a 3 mile walk along the lovely, soft sand beach. We'd love to return in the summer for swimming! We had really wanted to see the famed salt flats and flamingos but discovered that it was too far to walk. No problem: Giovanni (on his own time!) organized a private tour of the salt pans and bird sanctuary with driver Nino and guide Salvatore. Most excellent! One of the best tours I have ever participated in. A real surprise--a truly delightful one--was that they also took us to an agritourismo farm with buffalo, cows, hens, ducks, and a dog and a cat. And a herd of fun goats running down the street to wait for their farmer to open the gate to their other pasture. What fun! And to cap it all, Nino brought out plate after plate of various cheeses, made locally by the farmers. Six cheeses in fact! My husband was a happy man. We had to buy some to take home as the cheese could not have been any fresher--not when we met the buffalo right there! As a travel agent, I have stayed at many hotels around the world, but never have I had a more enjoyable stay. Giovanni is an excellent hotel manager--you can see how much he cares about his guests. I have stayed at 'luxury' hotels who could learn about hospitality management from Giovanni. In all, it was a memorable stay in every way, and we hope to return! Anne and Keith
