  Comfy hotel with a biew

  We stayed here one night as we were winding up,our 5 1/2 week trip. The hotel is simple, not luxury, but comfort. The room was too warm so we opened our balcony door. We had a sea view, table and two,chairs on the balcony. A nice place to watch the sun go,down and enjoy our wine before going out to dinner. The staff are very helpful with restaurant suggestions. Both their lunch and dinner recommendations were spot on! Breakfast was fine, several choices and something for everyone!

  The breakfast was a scandal

  The breakfast was a scandal. I never before had to compete with the other guests for bread, fruit and cake. Both days there were no scrambled eggs left, only the plate where it had been. This was an hour before the closing time at 9:30. When enquired we were told they had no intention of making more scrambled eggs. I could go on about the missing cut meat, the cold eggs, the lack of fruits etc. For an expensive 4 star hotel the breakfast is a scandal. I am surprised to see that other guests going back to 2014 have noticed the same. This just reminds me just how useful TripAdvisor really is. Otherwise the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the beach and close to the city center. All in walking distance. Please notice that there is no parking near the hotel. You are on your own fighting for parking spot.

  There is an awful employee that make this hote to an horrible place.

  Overall the hotel is not bad, but there was an incident that made me to put one star and I want to share about that. 1)I am travelling for many years and never required not to put food in the refrigerator. 2)At the last day, we had to have a breakfast 30 minutes earlier, because we had a flight earlier.Not to have issues a day before we informed that we need to have a breakfast 30 minutes earlier , and they said that it is not an issue.At the last day, when we went to a kitchen, they refused to give us a breakfast in very rough manner and we leave the hote offended and hungry. There is an employe that bring the reputation of this hotel down to the ground. By the way, I want to thank Franco for great attitude.

  Inconsistent

  My wife and I stayed two nights. There was a mix up on the booking initially and the reception staff were very helpful and accommodating trying to help us even when it looked we might need to stay another venue for the 2nd night. Room was fine and clean but the acoustics meant you could hear everyone arrive back at night. The reason for the poor rating is my wife left a clutch bag in the room with some sentimental jewelry in it and despite 3 attempts to contact the hotel to see whether it had been found, I received no response despite being told by the manager theyd be back to me.

  Location, location, location

  Grand hotel Palace is an average hotel with rooms that have seen their best days, but good aircondition and ok. Stiff prices for sunbeds on their private beach, you have to pay 25 euro for two sunbed for a day, you pay the same if you stay half day. The private beach is lovely, quiet, few people and the water is so clean. We will recommend this hotel because of the perfect location. Close to the city centre with bars, restaurants around the corner, and the private beach Just in front of the hotel!
