  Old hotel for reasonable price

  Very friendly staff, clean rooms, great value for money! Nice swimming pool which unfortunately we couldn't enjoy due to weather. The beds of the standard room are very small. Not necessarily a problem but when the floor of the room is not level (old building) it becomes a challange to stay on your (small) side of the bed.

  Lovely Old Hotel In Bourbon-l'Archambault

  We stopped here for several nights on our way from Burgundy back to the Loire region. It is a lovely old hotel with HUGE rooms. It felt like we were living in a castle. Front desk people were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was very good. The spa seems to be the primary reason that people come to this town, Not a lot else to do other than visit the castle ruins.

  Pretty town, hotel and an enjoyable experience

  Tucked away in rural France we came across this gem. Had problem parking but the owner was more than helpful and couldn't have done more. The room was big, well furnished and a great view of the castle and exquisites garden/terrace. Bathroom was a bit dated. The restaurant and reception areas were charming and the food more than acceptable. Breakfast was wide ranging and possibly one of the best buffets we have experienced. Comes recommended!

  Terrible

  Receptionist doest cone to greet you. You wait and she shouts. Unfriendly staff. On the breakfast i was talking to the staff to choose a table. She shouted at me and said i made her angry ! Rooms are unhealthy! Pay attention if you have asthma.

  Perfect stay in a charming hotel

  I do not often write reviews, but feel compelled to after reading the review below. I stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover on the way to the South of France with my wife and children. From the moment we arrived, I only have positive comments. We were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception who showed us to our lovely spacious room. We spent the day relaxing by the pool which the kids particularly loved after the long drive. Before dinner we had drinks in the garden. The same lady greeted us and sat us for dinner giving us a choice of inside or out. The four course set meal was enjoyable, and at a reasonable price. Again at breakfast we were given a choice of eating in the restaurant or garden. There was a great choice for everyone from pastries to fruit, yoghurts, cheese, meats etc. etc. There was nothing I could really pick fault with and I think the staff deserve particular credit for being so friendly and helpful in todays challenging circumstances. We are staying again in one week on our way home which Im looking forward to as the perfect way to end our holiday.
