  Clean but thats about it

  Just stayed for a night due to early flight. Staff was friendly and room was clean, but thats about it. The hotel is far from a true 4-star hotel. Air conditioner was a total disaster and we had a very painful night. Beds and pillows where also harder than usual.

  Unbelievably bad

  I will keep this short: The bed is so hard it's like sleeping on the floor Absolutely NO wifi access over the 24 hour period The 'no smoking' room smelt so badly of cigarette smoke I actually felt physically sick The deal breaker.... absolutely no hot water at 6am The reception man argued with me about the lack of hot water and no wifi.... really? Why would I make this up? Only one reservation man spoke English, he wasn't there when I was mentioning all the problems ( so no... not a multilingual hotel). Dinner in restaurant no good... fish had very strong weird taste. 4 stars must have been when they hit management on the head.... that's the only way this hotel would get any stars Very bad experience.

  Try to avoid

  The hotel is 6 mins from the airport and in front of the train station . That means that I woke up at 0700 due to the strong noise coming from the street between the hotel and the station . Cars , buses taxis , people , all in a hurry and horning like Mumbai . That would be enough but there is more ...poor accommodation, old rooms old building , generally a building showing the age . Breakfast was very poor for international tourists . Anyway , try to avoid ....

  This is the ideal hotel for travelling from Malta to Austria

  The location is ideal. The hotel has a big carpark for the car traveller, but is also perfect for the train traveller because the railways station is just opposite. Even the airline passenger will be pleased because the airport is less than 5 miles away and the taxi fare is just 10.00 from the hotel. Also the hotel has a good service and a spacious restaurant

  Friendly, practical, perfect place to stay when arriving at Lamezia

  I cannot understand reviewers who are grumbling about this hotel. It is extremely convenient for the railway station and the airport, and is not glamorous, but it is spotlessly clean, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. I am fluent in Italian, so I don't know whether they would necessarily be quite so accommodating for monoglot Brits and Americans, but to me they were totally charming and could not do enough. The breakfast was fine, the room a little spartan but extremely clean and the bed incredibly comfortable; wifi was fast, the room was quiet (I had to write a lecture in Italian and was undisturbed by any noise), and functional. The shower was perhaps a tiny bit small, but really, unless one were a giant, who would care: plenty of hot water. I did not dine there, but the breakfast was excellent. When I had checked out it was pretty cold, so I went back into the bar to get a coffee. The man serving me tried not to let me pay for it as I had been a guest. Hospitable, well-run, clean, and exceptionally good value. There are plenty of places nearby to grab a beer or a coffee, and it is ten minutes by taxi into Lamezia proper (old Nicastro). I have no idea why people have grumbled about this hotel; I found the staff a total delight.
