  Nice hotel for business travel

  We stayed in AIx for one night and this hotel certainly served the purpose. Our corner room was large and immaculate with a modern bathroom filled with herbal amenities There's wifi throughout the hotel - however no English TV stations or minibar in the room. The elevator is tiny so we had to take our luggage up separately. The breakfast room is elegant and the food was OK. We don't; speak French so could not communicate well with the owners however, our host portrayed their graciousness. The hotel location is great. At night we strolled out to the casino (Grand Cercle) right nearby and the main town square is a few feet away.There are nice shops and bakeries on the block and it was really a surprise to find everything so close by. The train station is a 5 minute walk away (Le Revard) and the town is very charming. There's an Orthodox synagogue and mikve around the corner from the hotel.

  Welcoming and very nice

  We had a special arrangement, a coupon that "pays" the room under the condition to have dinner at the Hotel during ones stay. Not only were we given a choice of the room "comfort" or "comfort+ (with an extra price though), but we also could choose whatever we wanted from the different "menus". The food was excellent with surprising but tantalising dishes, and wine could be chosen by the glass. Breakfast was also just great with homemade jams, boiled eggs, different cheeses and ham as well as Danish pastry and delicious bread. And last but not least: the staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. If you travel to Aix-les-Bains we can only recommend this Hotel.

  Authentic experience

  This is an old hotel but the creaky old girl still has its charms. The staff were great in helping us getting our bikes garaged safely in their lock up - much appreciated when on a cycle tour. The best aspect of this hotel is the restaurant. We enjoyed a very good set menu and the recommended half bottle of local wine was very well matched. Great to enjoy local wine and local produce.

  Restaurant a highlight

  This hotel is a bit dated in the accomodation side but still clean and neat. We slept with the window open and it was a nice quiet night's sleep. Secure bike lock up was provided around the corner and this was very much appreciated. The highlight was definitely the food. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. Great selections, friendly and helpful staff and wonderful food creations! It was nice to find a small supermarket diagonally opposite so we could stock up with water for the day's ride.

  Charmingly authentic french hotel

  There are so many positives about this lovely hotel that I don't know where to begin. Great rooms, great food and great staff. A three star hotel that at a 3 star price goes way beyond what 4 star chain hotels offer. Yes, the internet can be a little patchy and yes, the lift is very small, but these things are just minor compared to the rest. I will definitely be back!
