Magic in the mountains!Great stay and beautiful hotel! Reality exceeds expectations. This is a real aristocratic grand hotel. We had a lovely first floor room with a huge terrace. Service and friendliness of staff at the highest level. All issues are resolved very quickly, with a smile, attention and care. In the rooms, saunas and swimming pools impeccable cleanliness. Change of towels and bathrobes for bathing, several times a day. Good spa, massages and various treatments at a very high level. Convenient parking. There are wonderful aromas in the air, you can eat fresh apples, you are surrounded by unobtrusive care and attention. The varied breakfast includes fruit and champagne. Dinner in a beautiful restaurant delivers aesthetic and taste delight. Nice to chat in the bar with Ugo over a glass of Braulio. The only thing it would be nice to add seafood to the dinner menu. Thermal water - of course the main advantage. The water is strong enough and its beneficial effect is felt already on the second day. There are barrels of white and gray clay, after her skin, like new and there is a surge of strength. Nature pleases the eye around, and the air wants to drink from a glass, enjoying every sip. As in any hotel, very minor shortcomings are possible, but you do not notice them against the background of a huge number of all the advantages. In the "upper" hotel there is a more extensive view of the valley and there is some exotic historical basins, but Bagni Nuovi is more comfortable and tony, more free in the pools and numerous relaxation areas, my wife and I liked it more. Many thanks to the staff and owners ha good rest! Looking forward to returning!

Beautiful Hotel in BormioExcellent to stay here after driving the Stelvio. Wish we'd had more than one night, so we could have made use of the spa facilities. Wonderful old hotel, lovely meal at night. We only booked a basic room with a bit of a mountain view, but it was perfectly adequate for a one night stay. I'd recommend staying longer to try it all out. Thanks for lovely stay.

Maybe once upon a time - like, a long time agoThis place is simply past it's prime. I imagine a long time ago, this may have been the place to go. The staff really ruined an otherwise mediocre stay. Rude, inconsiderate and simply unprofessional staff holding on to yesteryear. The food was actually terrible. Coming from NYC, the group of us universally agreed this was some of the worst food we've ever been served. Search elsewhere.

Good but not perfectI really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is beautiful, the room nicely decorated, the bed (and pillows) is comfortable, the bathroom clean and the view was stunning! The spa was great and I really enjoyed it after a day of work. The breakfast was good and it was more than enough. But, for a 5-star hotel, I would have expected a bit more (like, there was no icing on the cake). When we arrived, there was no one to greet us at the entrance. We had to wait for a receptionist. She was really nice, friendly and helpful but we had to wait for her. There are free sweets and a coffee machine in the entrance which is enjoyable but I would expect someone to offer it to me. It is nothing I need everyday but, in a 5-star, I expect the best. What is above 5 stars? I have an additional remark: I paid 260 for my room and my colleague 198. We asked why there was such a difference. The answer was that I had a classic room for a single person and that my colleague had a single room. But, he had an extra dressing room and a bath tub and a shower in the bathroom. Whereas I had just a shower and no dressing room, just a small closet. So I still think, there was a mistake (also, when we arrived the day before, the other receptionist told my colleague he had been upgraded...). As, in the end, it is paid by my employer, I dont care about the money but I expect more from a 5-star hotel. Still I would recommend it but small improvements would be highly appreciated.
