  Thank you Grand Hotel Åsgårdstrand and Restaurant Manager Michelle for creating the best wedding reception we could have ever imagined. You truly made our big day a special one to remember. Your organisation was exceptional. From our first meeting we felt this was in good hands, and it truly was! Your food & wine was delicious, your colleagues all super kind and fun people dedicated to good service, and you took great care of all our guests staying at the hotel.   Great location and nice staff

  Åsgårdstrand is a hidden gem close to Oslo. The hotel is situated by the marina and the view of the OsloFjord is very beautiful. All the staff was supernice, and the room had a good size , but the bathroom a little bit outdated. The terrace in front of the restaurant is superb for all meals and drinks if the weather allows it. The food served is excellent and the breakfast consists of all you can wish for breakfast. You can goto the beach or you can walk the coastpath in both directions. Highly recommended. We will definetly be back.

  Following the great master, Edward Munch

  We booked two nights in Grand hotell to get the feeling of the great Norwegian painter, Edward Munch. The place is situated on the harbor of Åsgårdstrand facing the "bridge" that was painted with the three girls on it. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel, the delicious food and the little village visit.

  Fab staff, comfy bed, but where is the sommelier?

  Your wonderful, accomodating staff is great, and the beds are very comfy, but I could not taste the promised French gourmet in the food and your wine-cellar would benefit from some subtle new wines. A sommelier would be a good addition to the staff and is a great resource for any hotel with aspirations. Our nice waitress also lacked basic skills. We did sleep well though and the breakfast was ok.

  Fabulous Christmas

  We had great Christmas celebrations here! The staff was service minded, the food excellent and the hotel a perfect setting for an unusual Christmas in an unusual year. I must also mention the very good breakfast buffet. We were allowed to keep the room until 8 pm. Much appreciated! I can only copy Arnold Schwarzenegger and say: I will be back.
