  Great (except the food)

  Spent a night at this great hotel. New, clean with large rooms. Be aware that the village is a 15 minute drive so plan accordingly. The one comment we have is regarding the food - dinner was voted unanimously (after nine days in Greece) as the worst dinner or lunch we had, the the staff was probably the less friendly we met. A pity for such a good place otherwise.

  Could be better

  I would expect more from a hotel that is part of the SLH. The service at the breakfast is very slow. They could use more staff for such a beautiful and nice hotel. Food at the restaurant is average. Reception service too.

  Almost in every respect

  From a hotel like this you expect the best. We made it a destination for our Meteora visit. Here is what we got: large clean room with a fireplace Nice staff. very service minded Lots of issues addressed below were ok or less, so not sure I will come back. Overall: value for money is ok. Here are some more details: Setting: beautiful location, isolated in the mountains (this means a lot of nice things, but includes the fact that there are many bugs, which may be an issue for some people). A lot of money was put into this place. However both architecturally and from a design perspective, they could have done a better job. It seems as if half way through the project they had a change of mind, taste or staff. The lobby floor is nice. Rooms Rooms are large and comfortable, but views are disappointing. Even in the upper larger rooms, I think called mountain-view, about a third of the view is of a building next door. On lower floors, I think called garden-view rooms, all you see is another building. This is amazing as there are no real limitation in an isolated mountain resort with fantastic surroundings. Noise I could here sounds and noises from rooms close by. Better isolation may be expected Bed is excellent Shower is great, our room had a double shower, no bath. Lighting in rooms is poor A/C The system is centrally controlled per room. You can change inside your room only 2 degrees from the preset. No one told us about it. We had a very cold first night. The following night we used the fireplace.a great experience and nice help from the staff. Thanks Covid-19 Hotel functioned extremely well under a tough situation Spa: One reason to come to such a resort is the spa. My wife and I reserved seven different treatments in advance. most treatments were sub par. You would expect a higher degree of professionalism and quality control in such a place. Food Nice breakfast. We also enjoyed our dinner and choice of wines Lobby/bar Great place to hang out. Good selection of alcohol. Trails: Some reviews addressed the issue of trails. Basically there is one trail, called ursa trail, which runs right by the hotel. However it is well marked only in some portions of the trail (especially from the village to the hotel, not so in the direction from the hotel to village). This means it is easy to get astray. Maps would be helpful.

  Great escape

  We visited on early October. Everything was great. The room was very clean, cozy and luxurious. Great attention has be paid to the design to fit in with the surroundings. Astonishing was the view to the village. The food was local and of great quality. There were many choices available for breakfast and dinner and the prices for the a la carte restaurant were reasonable for the quality offered.

  Very good but the bird in that tiny cage broke my heart!!!

  I loved the hotel so much. The location is gorgeous, the room are perfect, the food and service are amazing. The only thing that really hurt my eyes to see is that small bird in the tiny cage at the lounge terrace. It seem so sad and lonely with no room to fly. I wish that this wonderful modern- wanna be hotel will take this review and do something with it and give this bird a better life- maybe set it free. it's very cruel to leave her alone whiteout another bird friend and without a big cage to fly. My colleagues and i felt so uncofeterblae seating next to the cage.
