  Great room but not good neighbourhood for femail foreigner who travel alone

  The room was excellent with modern decoration and cleanliness. However, the surounding area is a bit dogy for female foreigner who travel alone. Also, it was very noisy even until mid-night. Also the staff could hardly speak english.

  Unsafe location, Dirty room

  This hotel is rated 4 stars but don't expect anything more than 2 stars. The only reason for 4 stars was that it has a ppol. I was assigned a room on the 2nd floor which opens up to neighbor junk yard. Changed to the 8th floor and much better view, with the sea. The room was dirty: Refrigerator was not cleaned from previous guests (tons of leftover food/drinks). Shower drain didn't drain, a handyman came over to fix it but left a big mess in the bathroom. I gave up, went outside to buy sim card, looked up a new hotel and moved. Location: definitely not for a female traveling alone. Although it's not far from main attractions in the old city, you don't want to walk to the hotel alone after dark. This hotel is equivalent of a hole in a wall in Chinatown in New York City.

  Unsafe location

  The hotel is placed in a commercial area which is not safe, especially in the evening. Very noisy both outside and inside because they had guests who got drunk and shouted till late in the night. The hotel is rated 4 stars but it's a 3 star.

  Bien situado

  Se trata de un hotel "aceptable" para una ciudad de contrastes como Istanbul. Estálimpio y es decente, pero poco más. el desayuno bastante flojo.Las habitaciones pequeñas, tanto que había que hacer un tetris con las maletas. El personal del hotel correcto y servicial pero con un nivel de inglés impropio de un hotel.Muy bien situado a 5 minutos del Gran Bazar y a 15-20 minutos a pie de Aya Sophia y Mezquita Azul.

  Grand Emir Hotel - Istanbul

  i was here in august 2019 . It is a nice hotel , very clean , everything new inside . It is not located on the main street , and not so easy to find , but tnks god google exists. It's position is really good , up on the main street u have exchange points , tram stop, one of the entrances in Grand Bazar . If u are a real traveler who wants to discover , see and don't loose time this hotel has the best location , time efficient , clean and not too expensive. The distance , walking , form the hotel to Blue Mosque is 10 min , 20 if you are a slow walker , or 3 tram stops( down the main street , no turns ). We arrived at night , and we were a little confused , because the city is so crouded with stores , but if you have strong orientation skills , that will not be a problem for you . About the hotel - is really new inside , very clean , good service . We had only breakfast included , which was really rich , full of everything .
