  Good services but really old-fashioned

  We stayed 2 nights in this hotel for a week end with my husband. The hotel has a good location and offers different good services (private beach, car valet, spa, indoor pool - that requires some refurbishment). Location is nice, just in front of the sea and 10min walking from the city centre with restaurants/shops. Some negative aspects that are not aligned with a 4-star hotel: breakfast very poor and with industrial things, rooms really old-fashioned and pool not renewed, with damaged walls. Thats why it does not justify such average daily rate.

  Horrible experience!

  This hotel absolutely not deserved 4 stars. Prices its to high for what you get. Not go there ! Room that we get was in another building near hotel. Rooms looks different from pictures from site of hotel. Everything very very old! Old furniture i think near 30 years ...small so bad that i not put my clothes inside. :( prefer let it in luggage. Shower inside bath very old and not comfortable. Water go everywhere. Air conditioner not really refresh room. Windows go to railway, its very noisy. All 4 nights we wake up before our bell because at 8:00 in the morning people start work in room up us. Stay construction there. So we could not sleep and relax in our room, because always stay huge noise at walls. Hotel of course not inform us before ,about this. They could not change rooms for us, because hotel was full. In the end give us 15% discount, but its nothing because our holiday was already broken. Also want to tell everybody not go eat dinner in hotel restaurant. The first evening we decided to stay there. And it was big mistake. Near 1 hour we wait food and in the end they forgot to cook lasagna for children . And our fish for 24 euro with one piece if Sea bass was so little...we were really surprised. Women who served wine for us, loose our bottle. So after they need bring new one because our was lost Service bad, very long , personal not speak English ,not smile, not really polite. Even for fish they not give us correct knife. When come manager , hi was angry against us. You see in his face that hi not happy. And we were giving him nervous. Really repulsive staff. For breakfast too. Staff ignored us. Not help to make table for 6 person.So we move table alone by ourselves . We should come to them and ask bring caffe and hot water for tea. But i was surprised because for italien people they were different. Its no fair, we all your clients. So they should be nice with everybody. In breakfast i could not open bottle with water, nobody not even ask me if i need help. But when come some italien old guy and ask where stay not cold water. They fast run to serve him. I think its not correct! So again not recommend to nobody.

  Dont be fooled by the public spaces... this isnt 4 stars

  I was so looking forward to a relaxing stay at the Diana Grand. When I arrived, the front was crowded with gorgeous cars and the lobby and dining rooms stunning. But when I got to my room, it was 24C and remained that way for the entire stay (Room 414). I asked for assistance and nothing could be done. I was assured by the reception desk and the directore Piero Ivaldi that a technician would arrive on Friday to correct the situation. No one ever came. (Oh, and I was offered a fan for comfort since I was paying 200+ euro per night.) But why is this not 4 stars? They are circa 1980s, with two twins put together, the pillows are hard as rocks, the bathrooms smell musty because theres no ventilation, and the marble is stock brown with the old fashioned hair dryer with the rubber air hose. The so-called side tables are plywood covered in fabric and the closet is in the wall. The owners are obviously doing well given the Ferrari parked in their garage but at least for this guest, there were no attempts to truly correct this horrible stay from the start - offered a room with no view, then one on a low floor, then a lateral view room for the last night all while claiming that they were full, which I know they werent (the room next to me was empty) - so I would not recommend staying here. There are other 3 star hotels next door and in the city of you can go to a real 4 star or better elsewhere.

  A very nice Hotel

  We stayed in this hotel at the end of September for 2 nights. Everything was good, food, room, staff, ect., even the weather was perfect. We had a lovely stay. Would recommend. Definitely going back next year.

  Never again!!!

  We had probably the ugliest room ever: small, badly designed, old and smelly. The location is nice, theres easy access to the beach. The parking is definitely too expensive (25.-/day). The staff did not really care whether we were comfortable.
