  Nice modern hotel, close to VCU campus

  The staff at The Graduate really made it easy. The front desk staff were friendly and quick with getting us set up. It was pouring rain when we arrived and the Valet service was worth the cost. They were quick with the car whenever we needed it. No hassles at all. The rooms are very nice, very comfortable beds, very clean. They have done a great job making food and drinks available considering the COVID pandemic. The are on their game encouraging people to social distance, suggesting single family groups in elevators, etc. We appreciate that!

  Ice Storm

  We lost power and heat during the one ice storm in Richmond and needed a warm place for my family and cats. The Graduate is one of the few places that allow cats and we were thankful for that! The suite we stayed in was very nice and had great views of downtown Richmond. Helped make our situation feel a little bit better while we waited for our power and heat to come back on.

  Best hotel experience ever!

  This hotel is amazing! I will stay there every time I visit my daughter! I especially loved the ability to communicate via text. I received immediate replies to every question I had. Everyone was so friendly and the rooms are amazing!

  Cheer Competition Stay

  I really wanted to give 5 Stars. Front desk staff was great! Valet group was just as great. Check-in was a breeze and location was convenient to the venue. The 5 stars verses 4 was just having house cleaning do a through job. Its a few easy Clorox wipes, provision of proper bedding and a under dresser vacuum away from 5 stars. During Covid the cleaning details are important. I chose the Graduate family suite with 2 teen girls so we all had our own bathroom and space. It was perfect for that set up. Room entrance was to the bunk bed room, sofa couch, full bathroom and separate TV. Then directly adjoined was the king room with separate bathroom. There was no separate entrance to the king room, which is fine, but the detail is lost in the layout description. I honestly love the room, but management really should just have housecleaning wipe the corners of the bathrooms and ensure the floors are clean. This is my 1st time staying at a Graduate Hotel, and I would stay again, but management please know both bunk beds need blankets; the fridge needs to be able to get cold; Soap amenities need to be provided in both bathrooms so that no one has to call for basic amenities and have house cleaning vacuum under the dressers and do a quick wipe in the bathroom corners. I spoke to a maintenance man in the elevator. He let me in with him respecting Covid and we were 6 ft apart. I was returning a luggage rack and he was returning from retouching paint in a room. I could tell he took care in the facility. I am attaching pictures also, but I am really hoping management reads these reviews. Another cheer team member stayed at the Holiday Inn Express nearby and likely would not choose The Graduate for lack of brand familiarity, that was a mistake. If management is listening, take the 15 more minutes of cleaning and build that brand and get that 5th star. Your staff is excellent, train housekeeping to do the extra mile.

  Everyone was kind an respectful. The staff was very helpful an knowledgeable. The establishment was very clean and comfortable. I would love to stay here again i didn't want to go home . Best time ever
