  Estancia muy agradable en esta casa de huéspedes encima de un pub en la calle principal del pueblo. Habitación muy bien decorada y confortable, baño pequeño pero muy limpio, no falta detalle. El personal es muy atento y hay una preciosa terraza atrás que mira a la iglesia. Nos gustó muchísimo el pub también. El taxi desde el aeropuerto de Gatwick solo nos costó 27 libras y East Grinstead es un pueblo encantador con un precioso bosque donde pasear.

  Great stay - we will be back

  You need to remember that you are staying in an extremely old property (which creaks and groans) on a high street over a pub/bar, which overlooks a cemetery at the back, with a footpath next to your back window and the bar terrace next to your side window. For us all this is a bonus (we didn't stay in the Summer so might be noisy then), lovely character building (high quality wooden double glazing), beautiful church to look at, good size warm room (needed dusting), great location. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast starts late at 10am when CJ's opens downstairs, but a Continental breakfast can be provided to you the night before if you need an earlier breakfast. The full English I had was very nice. The bed we slept in was a little too hard and the wooden surround needs attention as every time you move the wood groans so loudly it does wake you. I would love to stay here again. You can't beat the price for what you get. I spent some of the day in CJ's and the breakfast on a Monday morning had some atmosphere. It was the most happening place to have Monday morning breakfast in East Grinstead High Street.

  Wonderful boutique

  Perfect for a couples sleep over. You can pop downstairs to the bar and grab a drink and bring it back to your room. Loved the bedroom - the warm curtains and four poster. Very Old English and a feel of comfort and warmth. The bathroom was lovely and the decor wasnt over the top like some b&bs weve stayed at. The tv box worked fine and the choice of channels was excellent. I loved that there was tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk. (A herbal tea option could be good too) Breakfast was tasty and liked the mushroom/spinach combination. Staff were very nice and helpful. Location was close to the high street and at the quiet and prettier side of town.

  Uncomfortable Bed

  We stayed here for one night in the Cromwell Room it was very clean and a pretty room, However the small double bed should be in a museum- the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the bed creaked at the slightest movement (floorboards creaking in an old property is acceptable but not the bed). The television was not connected to an ariel and relied on a Firestick tor service which despite trying everything we could not get this to stream. Having a comfortable mattress / bed is a basic requirement for any hotel - we shall not be returning.

  Nice room, service poor

  Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family. Room was quite nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not so good. First occasion had to return poached eggs that were uncooked. Second morning we requested breakfast at 10.00 and we were still waiting 45 minutes later Considering this hotel has only 3 guest rooms this was unacceptable. We left without breakfast with no offer of a discount. Would not recommend this hotel/restaurant.
