  Clean and comfortable, great hosts

  This was my third stay at this motel. Each time I have stayed here I have been given a warm, friendly welcome. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with all amenities provided. I really like having the microwave to heat meals as I am usually tired after working and do not feel like going out for food. Having said that there are plenty of places close by to eat if needed. The motel is easy to find and even though it is close to the highway I was not disturbed by the traffic noise. I can recommend this motel and will definitely stay again.

  Friendly staff

  What a wonderful little place! We had tried to check into another hotel but we were treated poorly, then we found this amazing hotel. The front desk person was friendly and helpful and had us checked in in minutes! We had a beautiful afternoon swimming in the pool and the ac in the room was a godsend. I will definitely be staying here again.

  A place to rest your head

  We stayed here for one night on our way from Canberra to Port Macquarie. It's on a quiet side street that is a bit dark so I'm glad I was with my partner rather than alone as it was a bit creepy. I wasn't 100% convinced of their commitment to being COVID safe so wiped down the room with a disinfectant wipe and it did pick up a little bit of dust so I'm glad I wiped it. The bathroom was nice and clean with a good shower. I hate when hotels just have a sheet and then woolen blanket on the bed instead of a doona, so that was a negative for me. We couldn't work out the airconditioner properly - it kept switching off. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the Settlers Pub and the RSL so that's where you can get a feed. Otherwise there isn't much around except for petrol stations/take away shops.

  Convenient Motel in Gosford

  The Gosford Palms is conveniently located within walking distance of the main area of Gosford, in particular the leagues club and sporting ground. The motel is very standard and meets the basic needs. It looks a little run down, but for a night or two is an okay place to stay. There is tea/coffee, micro wave, fridge, iron and tv (with basic Foxtel) in the room. There is a small swimming pool and ample free parking.

  Bad Stay

  I had originally booked two nights but due to the motel being so unpleasant we only stayed one night. The room smelled horrible, not a clean odour at all. The bathroom sink screamed with a water hammer that Im sure that offended the entire place every time it was turned on. The shower water pressure was so low it was like trying to shower under a hose in a third world country. The motel advised there was free Foxtel, but it did not work. When I called for assistance to get the TV working, the male manager arrived and filled the room with an alcohol smell so bad I dont know how he was still standing upright. There was no breakfast being served due to COVID-19 which was disappointing. Overall I would NOT recommend this motel, it is not fit for my dog to stay in. Very very disappointing. Oh and to top it off, I was declined a refund even though I advised I would not be staying the second night first thing in the morning.
