Good apetite..Nacho y Lourdes.

Good points....but...dont agree with other reviewsThe good - it was very clean, the views were beautiful and Fiona was a lovely lady. The breakfast offered a selection of fruit (fresh), cereals, yoghurts and sausage, bacon egg etc like many B & Bs but not as excellent as some. No fish was offered which, for me, was disappointing. The kids (four) were lovely, but if they are in the rooms above yours, and the adjacent sitting room with TV/PlayStation - it could be less than peaceful! Our shower was pretty weak but the wi if was good. You have to drive to Ardara - no path or pavement. Nancys is fantastic for dinner and the Heritage Centre cafe is excellent for lunch. A good base for touring some great scenery, clean etc but I cant quite understand all the 5 star reviews.

Superbmy wife and myself had the pleasure of staying here and we cant recommend this b&b enough. The hospitality that Fiona and Laurence had shown us made it a place that we will definitely be back to. Dont hesitate in booking , you wont be disappointed. Martin and Siobhan Belfast.

Can't wait to come back ...We spent some wonderful days at Gort na Mona, not the first time and quite certain not the last ! If you' ll decide staying there, a warm welcome with tea, coffee, scones or cookies will await you. Fiona and Laurence are unique, they have four gorgeous kids, and also granny Vera is such a lovely lady ! The rooms are nice decorated, spotless clean, and also the bathroom is big enough with a good shower. You 'll find tea / coffee making facility in your room, some sweets, and a carafe with fresh water. There is also a little fridge at the stair for your use. Breakfast is very tasty, nothing to be missed. A good selection of cereals, bread, scones, homemade jam, cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and more. As a cooked breakfast Fiona offers the 'Full Irish' , fried or scrambled eggs ( from theire own chickens ), porridge, and if you ask for, you will also get pancakes or fish like mackerel or bagels with salmon. During breakfast time Laurence will give you a lot of information about the area, where to go and what to do. There is a nice sunroom where you can read a book or watch TV ( TV also in your room ). May be you 'll meet the kids there, you can have a little chat together ( also in Irish language, if you're interested ), they will offer you a coffee, and if you tell them you 'll need a bit of quiteness they will accept your wish and leave ... It 's 4 km to Ardara town, and there is a nice walk down on the backroad. Can't wait to come back !
