  Close to highway, but not too noisy

  I had just a one night stop-over at this hotel during a business journey, but it was a good choice for me. Room was relatively cheap, but that's probably because of nearby road works. They don't cause any noise in the hotel area, but they do make this hotel a bit hard to reach from the highway. Make sure your map is updated before you try to reach it, because mine wasn't so I was circling around it for 20 minutes until I found the way to it. But as any road works - it's just a temporary nuisance, and you get a cheaper room as compensation for it. Hotel is also next to some kind of small shopping mall, which means there's lots of free parking next to it, and if you forgot to buy something you need for your trip you will surely find it there. Lady at the front desk... I would use word "efficient" instead of "polite" or "welcoming". My room was on 1st floor, as was the bar and restaurant. Dinner at the restaurant was quite ok. Staff didn't seem to speak much English, but they understood my requests and were very polite. Breakfast was very good with wide variety of choices, so if you stay for several days in this hotel, it will take a couple of days before you make a full circle in your breakfast selections. Hotel corridors have seen a lick of paint and recarpeting recently, so they appeared bright and fresh. Room I had was a single bed room. It had a nice sofa and a working desk. For some reason rooms are equipped with tablets that guests can use. There is a TV in there too, but if you want to kick back at the sofa and read your morning news on the tablet - it beats reading them on the phone. Inside the desk I found a usual bible, but also a book on teachings of Buddha which seemed like a nice touch of multiculturalism. A complimentary bottle of sparkling water was on the table. There was no mini-bar in the room. Carpet had some stains on it, but they looked like they come from overzealous attempts to clean it (they were lighter than the rest of the thing). Room was clean. Sheets too. Inside of the sofa - not so much: amount of crumbs under the cushions revealed this area was not on the usual cleaning checklist. Bed was a bit too soft for my taste, but I had a good sleep anyway. It helped that there were no loud noises during the night. Bathroom was clean and well maintained with usual things you would expect in it like shampoos, hair dryer, etc. Shower curtain was long enough, but too narrow so it wouldn't reach from wall to wall when taking a shower - meaning that afterwards floor had to be wet on at least one side of the tub. View from my room was towards the flat roof of the adjoining mini-mall, and steel fire escape stairs, so it wasn't much of a view. But in that area it wouldn't have been much better whichever side it faced, because it's a rural outskirt of Leipzig. If you want to see anything, you have to get out of the hotel and drive for 5 minutes before there's anything to be seen. Altogether it was well worth the money I paid for it. I'll probably use this hotel again on my future trips.

  Mixed feelings with the hotel

  We stayed for one night in this hotel. The room was big but on the ground were several spots. The bathroom was old, you had to shower in the bath. On the otherside the beds were good and also breakfast. Around the hotel the environment was quite poor, by foot it was difficult to find a place to eat.

  No Aircon = No sleep

  Overall hotel was fantastic, however, there is absolutely no air conditioning and no screens on the windows. The heat was unbearable, could not sleep all night. Also, internet was out (one of the reasons we pick hotels is free wifi). No access the entire night, also created issues with paying in the morning. Hotel staff was not helpful in resolving the solution, suggested we use an ATM and get out-of-country charges. Had to negotiate to have bar tab removed to compensate. Response was since it wasent their fault there was no internet to use to credit card machine it wasent their problem. Should have "old Fashioned" credit card machine to process the payment...what if the bank machine hadn't worked??? No one carries cash anymore...certainly not to pay for hotel rooms!

  Average

  Noisy soft beds, bar/restaurant closed at 20.00hour on friday. Breakfast was ferry good nice and frendly staff. No coffe or tea on the room. Good parking facilety's room was quiet even in the morning.
