  well-located, reasonably priced hotel

  Conveniently located MRT stations and major bus routes and a hundred steps away from the Qing Guang night market, Good Life Hotel gives you quick access to most places in Taipei, plus practically easy access to reasonably priced, yet good street food. The rooms are spartan, with a hard bed that most Taiwanese prefer to sleep on, but are always kept tidy. Breakfast is simple but wifi access is sometimes unreliable. At US$60 per night for a room, it is a good bargain!

  Good location, Hotel Recently Underwent Room Renovation

  The location of this hotel is very good. Close to small night market and street food alley. It is also close to many small and medium sized restaurants and eateries. A few minute walk to the MRT station and bus stops. Room is okay at best. Recently renovated but oddly, the bathroom was not fully renovated. Only the room was refurbished. Breakfast was included in our room price. But sadly, their breakfast is not something to look forward to. Overall, its an okay hotel in a good location.

  Average city hotel

  Location : Good due to near metro station. Market, food stalls, restaurant around. Receptionist : Friendly & helpful. Especially the two man working night shift. Room : Family room for 4. Newly renovated. Small room with carpet. But room facilities all included, ex. Safety box, kettle, hair dryer... Toilet : Spacious, new & clean. Electronic biget, bath tub all good. Breakfast : Breakfast provided. Simple porridge & dishes. Breads, eggs, coffee, tea... Basic Remark : *Centralized air conditioning, causing room with smoke smell. (I have sinus problem so particular with the air.) *Hotel with tiny lift.

  Good Location and Clean

  Hotel is located very near MRT station (approximately 5mins walk). Room is of decent size and very clean. However, due to centralized aircon system, there was sewage / urine smell at times. Luckily each time the smell came, it didn't last too long. Didn't bother to request for room change as we believe it'll be the same across all rooms. The room was cleaned every single day as we couldn't find the card for hanging at the door to skip housekeeping. Happy problem, no complain. Breakfast provided was very simple but acceptable for us given there's bread with butter & jam as well as porridge with simple dishes. However, 1 weird thing is where the power points are located, right behind a flower pot, which is GLUED to the table. Luckily we brought an extension cord else will be stuck with only 1 power point for all the gadgets. Overall an ok stay, except for the sewage smell which I may think twice before my next booking.

  Ok, but no more than that

  Clean, cheerful and well located are all pluses. A bit run down, wifi that doesnt work in the room and a pretty dull breakfast are the minuses. Overall it was ok, but There are better options in Taipei.
