  A wonderful stay

  This is our third time at Gomersal Lodge Hotel and we decided to stay again as it is only a short distance from Leeds city centre and the Christmas markets. We can also visit some of our relatives in the area which is another reason why we like it. The hotel is set in very beautiful grounds, and the rooms we have stayed in have always been clean and cosy. By now, we feel like we know the staff and they are always helpful and friendly so they and the hotel definitely get our recommendation.

  Very Comfortable and Convenient

  Friendly staff, a comfortable bed, clean room and an excellent breakfast. Overall, a most enjoyable stay and perfect for business travellers like myself who has meetings in the area. I found it easier to book directly with them on their website and would make Gomersal Lodge Hotel my first choice if I need to be near Bradford and Leeds again.

  Beautifully decorated for christmas

  The Hotel was beautifully deorated for christmas and well-worth paying a visit for the wonderful views across the fields (room1).Staff were kind enough to let me chek in early and my room was comfortable ,lean and well-equipped with tea/coffee making facilities. Would definitely return to this harming hotel.

  Terrible place to stay

  I have stayed in a few grotty places, and this hotel is by far the worst. We arrived to no masks, no social distancing and when we enquired about having a drink we were told that "they were following covid guidelines. The place is dirty, there are cobwebs everywhere (felt like Halloween). The one rooms bed sheet was actually a bottom frill, and the shower came off the wall. The only plus for this hotel from hell is the beds were comfortable and the garden is beautiful.

  Nice location and building but cleanliness let it down.

  I was with a friend visiting other friends in the area so we and decided to have a few drinks and stay over. We arrived around 4.30pm and was greeted by a lady in reception who told us the door code and checked us in. The building had a nice fel and looked quaint on entrance. The bedroom itself was quite dated but as I'd only paid £38 I wasn't expecting too much but it was also dirty, the carpet had seen better days but had dust and 'bits' of whatever as if it hadn't been vacuumed, the bathroom floor was really dusty with mould in the shower and on the ceiling, bathroom was tiny with the door bashing the shower when you opened it to use the toilet but worst was the toilet itself was dirty. I could cope with the size of the bathroom and dated furniture but there is no excuse for lack of cleaning. The bed itself wasn't too bad, a little uncomfy but sheets clean, Wifi worked fine and the room was warm. The receptionist appeared to have left the building after we checked in and there didn't appear to be anyone in the hotel other than myself and my friend in another room. My friend went down for breakfast at 7am and shouted hello a few times but there was no one there so he didn't get the breakfast he had paid for. With some TLC and décor upgrade and a new cleaning regime it could be a really nice hotel. I got what I paid for I suppose.
