  Bien ubicado, un poco anticuado

  El hotel está bien, la atención es muy buena, pero las instalaciones son un poco anticuadas. Está muy bien ubicado, el desayuno es correcto, pero no tiene nada más para destacar. El pueblo es pequeño, muy pintoresco, y se llega caminando muy fácilmente a todo lo que hay para recorrer.

  Heartfelt hospitality in delightful hotel in city center

  The proprietress is one of the most warm and helpful people I have ever encountered, and made me feel immediately at home. She assisted me with parking directions (in a lot at the back of the hotel around the corner), my bag, calling a nearby restaurant to get me a table for dinner. The hotel is in a 500 year old building and my room was quet and beautiful, with high ceilings, hard wood floors and a view of the river. Note: there is an elevator to the rooms, but to get to it one either has to take a steep staircase with a handrail from the parking area, or enter from the front of the hotel on Traungasse and go up a few steps without a handrail, but with a wall one can lean on to support oneself). The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the city center where boat rides leave to tour the lake. Breakfast was generous and served in a lovely light filled room or on the terrace. This is the perfect home away from home. I can't recommend it enough.

  Wonderful place for a vacation

  The hotel is located in an old, but very beautiful building. The room was large and beautiful, overlooking the lake. Excellent breakfast, which could also be served on the terrace. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely quiet. The only inconvenience could be the very poor WiFi signal.

  Perfect choice

  The Gmunden city is a door to visit Áustria from the Czech Republic going to the Salzkammergut. The Hotel have a very good location and a lovely staff, but the problem was the bad Wi-Fi. All the city you can visit by walking.

  Great hotel

  I have stayed in this hotel for the 6th time and I dont get tired of it. On the contrary, there is something new to discover every time I stay there. The proprietors are very proud of the hotel with a long history. Most of the rooms have been renovated, incl. new very comfortable beds, and new bathrooms. It is an old building in an old Austrian town, so expect quirky details. To get to the parking you have to be able to control your car, but nothing an experienced driver cant manage. There is a disability parking space at the front of the hotel, on the market place. Breakfast is not to be missed, fresh bread, fresh organic-juices, organic (homemade) jams and mostly a fresh cake, baked by the Hostess. Looking forward to my next visit!
