Nice stayMy friends & I stayed At the hotel for 2 nights. There was only one receptionist when we checked in and she was overwhelmed. Outside that, the room is quite nice, spacious and the bed is okay. I ordered rice and grilled cat fish for supper and it was superb.... I will surely stay at the hotel again when next I visit...

Could be much better and customer service needs work.Bathroom door cant open all the way because they jammed a bathtub in a room that wasnt designed to take one. Bedside lamp broken and flexible lamp wont turn off all night. Maintenance had to disconnect it entirely. Inadequate lighting in the room. Drawing open the curtains meant exposing yourself to the outside as there are no sheer curtains on the inside of the main ones. Staff seem reluctant at first to assist in some occasions: - key card wouldnt work despite several trips to the reception to reset. So we were locked out on 2 occasions. - several items on the room service menu were not available - breakfast options were very limited and included items more suited to lunch than breakfast - room service kitchen staff were not always very helpful. - a guest had to ask the reception staff to smile as they seemed to be in bad moods. It happens but when guests notice and ask you lighten up, there is a problem somewhere. - Asking for a receipt for the entire stay seemed to upset the reception staff we asked. I feel the hotel staff need more training and should be open to being flexible in their options. Dont regard all your guests as pests or thieves, some of us just need cutlery to eat food that you clearly are not interested in providing.

Golden Tulip?? I think not. This hotel looks okay from the outside however once you get into the lobby you begin to see the flaws. There is a permanent damp and humid feel to the hotel,it seems there is an unresolved water leak somewhere. The rooms are damp (Asthma patients beware). Lift had issues when we were there.Good note some of the hotel staff were helpful and offered to change our rooms but we decided to cancel and move to another hotel. This hotel needs extensive refurbishment .

The bar tho..The rooms are nice and clean. Very functional. The downer is the bar. No cocktails available in the bar. I suspect they havent been for a while as the lady behind the bar seemed confused when I tried ordering different ones. No white wine, only red. I finally settle for a beer and I hear the waiter ask for a beer mug. Low and behold it comes in an Irish coffee cup. Not that I could care less. Id drink the contents from a bowl if I had to but it shows a total lack of drinks and etiquette when it comes to drinks. In other words, this isnt a hotel bar, its a glorified beer parlor.

ABOVE AVERAGEFirst thing that strikes you is the very bumpy and rough road leading to the hotel. This sure needs a definite upgrade as the rest of the drive from the airport was okay. Check-in was not as smooth and fast as expected despite prior booking. Averagely the hotel is comfortable and above average save for some flaws: broken bathroom door handle, damp wall and mosquitoes. There is WiFi which was not mentioned. Breakfast buffet was fair enough with some African touch while the lunch and dinner were somewhat too pricey, comparatively. Covid-19 protocols were displayed was loosely enforced and some staff never wore face-masks. Good place though.
