  Good Room

  I stayed here about one month for my holiday, the room's quite big and clean , nice view, the receptionist guy always smile and greet me, I always go to swimming at the sea Otres Beach , and now I lose 2 kg . I will come next year and stay at this hotel again ! Cheer !

  Same Very helpful staff they cant do enough to help i really enjoyed my stay at the golden star again. nice clean rooms safe hotel and in a good location not to far from the main golden lion roundabout where all the action is i for one will be staying at this hotel again and value for money .

  Excellent hotel . Clean and tidy. Staff very good can speack english. Secrunity guards at night very safe no trouble. It has a lift to every floor. No pool . Just 5min from golden lions and beach. By tuk tuk. $ 3.

  I am meeting someone in Sihanouk Ville, after checking on Tripadvisor, most of the comments were rather positive. As such, I decided to book a room just for a night. When I arrived to the Hotel, as expected, this was a family operating hotel, you may see the family have their own kitchen at the right hand side of the entrance, I believe they are staying in house too. During check in, the guy was friendly. Even though he don't speak good English, when I asked him for some direction, he was trying his best to explain to me. The room was clean, only comment they shall look at the details. The blanket was yellowish, certain corner was not properly clean, and he can hear the people talking loudly from the corridor.

  Incredibly noisy, filthy, rude

  Both sides of the hotel are construction sites for new buildings. Jack hammers, metal grinders, hammering from sun up to sun down. These buidling are just in their foundation stage so this noise will be ongoing for many months to come. 4 guard dogs provide non-stop blood curdling howls all night. Roosters are confirmed: begin to crow from 3 AM onwards. Each time the elevator opens there is a LOUD door chime. Mattresses are worn out, with ditches, the cover missing to expose raw foam. Mattress pads dark brown with heavy staines. Duvet covers so musty and dusty, they cover the room with dust! Pillows are worn out, lumpy, and also VERY musty. The middle aged housekeeper is highly rude, ranting and yelling in the hallways non-stop. After days and days without a sheet change, I politley requested new linens; she freaked out, began yelling, and violently stripped the bed! Linens are worn out and pop off the mattress. What good are panoramic views and golden/blue marble floors if it's too NOISY to sleep, and the bed is a dust bowl of filth? Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Will book a hotel on the Beach Rd above Serendipity next time.
