  Amazing Stay

  First time staying here and I loved it. Very close to the beach. Walking distance from the airport, saved spending money on transport to the motel! Lots of great places to eat very close by. Short bus ride to the Gold Coast where the bus can be caught directly across the road from the motel. Would recommend this to anyone and cant wait to stay again.

  This place is a disgrace

  The Golden Shores Airport Hotel is an absolute disgrace and you should NEVER stay there. My family and I checked into the hotel to find; 1. There was. No car sport available so we had to park on the street. 2. When I turned on the kettle to make a cup of coffee the kettle gave me an electric shock as it was faulty. 3. There were spiders in the shower and the taps had almost nonexistent water pressure. 4. There is no bathroom bin in a family unit. 5 when I tried to open the wardrobe in the main bedroom the knob came off in my hand and the cupboard in the other room was stuck closed. And they had the hide to charge us $ 371 for one night! I will NEVER stay at one of the Golden Chain motels again! Sent from my iPad

  Near to airport

  Great location within walking distance from the airport making it perfect for a short stay due to an early / late flight. I arrived at around 10.30pm on a Friday night and was able to check in via calling the mobile number left by office. The guy then gave me the password to the safe with the room key inside. Booked a single room (number 10) which was ok for a short stay. It had been cleaned well and the aircon was cool. The motel is near the beach so also perfect for a morning stroll before 10am checkout.

  Demolish it

  This would have to be the worst Australian motel/hotel I have stayed in. No reception service. Had to phone for a code for key safe. Nowhere to store large suitcase, which I had to drag up stairs then down at 3am. Neighbouring unit had sliding door swinging hinges, giving view into a filthy room strewn with rubbish and clothes. Neighbor arrived back drunk and proceeded to bang metal sticks against balcony railing, swearing and arguing with a mate. Fortunately he passed out early, and was seen spread eagled on the floor when I left. This place should be demolished, paint peeling off and in very poor condition. I'm surprised it hasn't been condemned.

  Last stop

  Disgusted by this place. Filth, spiders everywhere, mouldy bathroom, not even a kettle. Sadly was the last room available to us. I could not even bring myself to shower next morning. Only plastic unmatched glasses, unwashed throw on bed..winter so needed...yuk yuk yuk....was only in 3 mins and felt sorry for my self! Horrible @$165.00 on..not worth $50 nothing good to say..sparse and harsh.
