  Great location

  We followed a package tour to Kaohsiung and stayed here for one night. The room is not a spacious type but nothing beats the location which is surrounded by restaurants and with easy access to subway station. The free wifi has different SSIDs for different floors - which is a bit confusing at first but easy to figure it out.

  Modern hotel with unfriendly staff in convenient location, lack of furniture

  This hotel was one of two operated by the Golden Pacific chain that I stayed in during my Taiwan trip (the other one was in Taichung). Both hotels had very similar designs (as if they were designed by the same team), so I am giving similar reviews for each of them. This hotel seemed nice at first because it was not very old, it had a modern design, and it appeared to be roomy. The Chinese breakfast was not bad. And one nice feature in the room was that it had a full-length mirror. Out of a total of seven hotels on this trip, this hotel was one of only three that had that feature. But the room turned out to be quite uncomfortable because even though it was clearly designed for two persons, it only had one chair and no luggage rack, despite ample space in the room for additional furniture like a table and a second chair. Even worse, it had no windows whatsoever! It appeared that the hotel's interior designer had tried to make the room more attractive with window drapes, but moving them aside revealed only walls. It was not a busy season at all at this hotel, but it seemed that since I had booked my hotel through the tour operator, the unfriendly staff members were more eager to please the tour operator than the guests. When I tried to speak to the unsmiling front desk clerk, she curtly directed me to speak to the tour operator, even though there were only six of us in my tour group and one driver/guide.

  Clean room

  Simple room & toilet. Staff is prompt when asked to deliver water & toiletries.The only thing I don't like about the room is the dim lighting - prefer brighter lighting. Stayed 1 night only with Family.

  Satisfactory stay

  Room is clean. Hotel decoration is nice. Breakfast spread is acceptable. Stayed 1 night at part of transit tour. PS - can go nearby massage place at main road (5mins walk, exit right of hotel), good skill, clean place.
