  We liked!

  Excellent price for one week. There was a few guests except us that's why hotel decided no need in breakfast. But! Near we discovered a lot of local food. Only 80-150 bad for 2 persons and you're full of food. Friendly stuff ! We love Chiang Rai

  Another decent hotel for the price.

  Stayed here for a couple of nights in the middle of a family trip. Chiang Rai is usually packed around this time, but the hotel was thankfully not so crowded as the accommodation wings are quite spread out and finding parking outside was never a problem. Service was friendly but slow and they didn't know much English which is fine but just FYI. The accommodations are nice for the price, with large rooms and free WiFi and breakfast. The breakfast though was so disappointing to my family as they found the soup cold and options lacking and so we had to eat breakfast outside the hotel the next morning. We just needed a comfortable place to sleep at night because we were always out all day, so all in all this was a decent hotel for our short stay.

  It was the worse hotel for the whole trip.

  I would have preferred to stay a cheap hostel for what I received for the exorbitant price this hotel was asking. If you want a service with a smile you expect of Thailand, you won't get it here. Don't expect the staff to speak any English either. The wifi is non-existent, it didn't even work in the foyer. They didn't receive my reservation but luckily the hotel was not full. The taps in the hotel leaked, so did the toilet. There is a new section being built, I hope the service will improve.

  Clean and spacious

  We intended to stay here for 2 nights but then added on 2 more nights. The most important thing about golden land hotel is it is spotless and was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, not the usual expected from a 'backpacker'. It was 15 minutes walk from the main Jedyod road and clock tower which is all in quick walking distance. I can't say enough about the hotel facilities, free tea and coffee all day, and a use of a microwave in the lobby area for late night snacks, they also have a small gym here which is useful for the hotel residents. The hotel staff speak very little if not any english but there welcoming smile and use of hand gestures are very helpful. - always welcoming vibe when going back to your room.

  Low price and good service without TV!

  Very reasonable price in this area. Staffs are good and kind but they can't speak English well. They use google translator. Room is clean and tidy but TV has no International channel. Breakfast is 100Baht. ! 100( ), TV . .
