  Excelente hotel, muy bien ubicado sobre Lake Mirror en la villa de montaña Lake Placid. Lake Placid fue sede de las Olimpiadas de Invierno en 1932 y 1980. Tiene un excelente museo de las Olimpiadas, un estadio de hockey sobre hielo, elevadores de mas de 120 metros para que los esquiadores puedan lanzarse. El hotel es sumamente confortable, con posibilidades de desayunar, cenar, tambien tiene un lugar para bailar, pileta, gimnasio, playa propia, alquiler de canoas y una pequeña galeria de compras. Las habitaciones que dan sobre el lago tienen una vista maravillosa sobre Lake Mirror. Pasamos 5 dias maravillosos disfrutando del hotel y paseando por Lake Placid y sus alrededores.

  Great Hotel - Shout out to Jamin at the front desk

  The Golden Arrow has been a hotel that my wife and I have always seen in Lake Placid and have always wondered what it was like to stay there. I can tell you this much. The Golden Arrow has met every expectation that I had for this hotel property. The king lakeside room we booked is spacious and comfortable. The staff have been friendly and accommodating. Jamin at the front desk is an absolute rock star. Hes everything an employee in the hospitality industry should be. This is our first stay at The Golden Arrow but it will not be our last.

  Great location - poor service

  I went to check in a little early (around 2PM) on a Saturday and asked man at front desk if my room was ready. Afterall, it's supposed to be vacant for at least 24 hours so why wouldn't it be ready. He immediately gave me an attitude and seemed very annoyed when I asked any questions about the facility. Ate dinner at their restaurant, Generations, and service was incredibly poor. Food was not hot and waitress disappeared and never returned again to ask if I needed anything. She didn't even come back with the check. I had to go to front desk and pay the hostess. Otherwise the room was clean and beautiful location in middle of town on the lake.

  Wow! Incredible Experience

  I really dont even know where to start with this review. Me and my fiancé had such an incredible time staying at the Golden arrow resort. We were going for my birthday after a pretty lousy 2020. My fiancé and the hotel staff did absolutely everything in their power to make my experience an unforgettable one! Victoria, you are the greatest! A very special shout out to Victoria at the front desk who helped make my fiancés vision come to life. She worked to get a flower arrangement, balloons, rose petals and wine in the room and chocolates ahead of my arrival. So when I opened the door to the room, it would be a surprise for me. I felt really special and it was thanks to you! You are a gem! Ans thank you also to Jamin for giving us great suggestions on things to do and where to go during our stay! The location of this hotel is perfect. It is on the main street within Lake Placid. You have free parking with the hotel. So you can just get up, walk out of the hotel and go strolling down the street whenever you want to. It was very very convenient and perfectly located. We stayed in the Normandy room facing the lake. If you want some thing romantic, this is the room. You have a king size bed a live fireplace, your own private balcony with chairs outside, a couch to sit and relax and a Jacuzzi tub with jets in the bathroom and a standing shower. Not to mention the bathrooms are heated!! Also within the hotel they have ice-skating and dog sledding available on the lake. But it depends on the weather, whether or not youll be able to do those activities. We also had our first meal upon arrival at their restaurant, generations. We were really happy with the quality of the food and the social distancing that was maintained between staff and tables. There is no pretentiousness at this hotel, which is what I loved most about it and why I selected it over others in the area.

  Very beautiful and above and beyond accommodating.

  My now fiancé and I stayed here for a long weekend, during which I proposed to her. I was hoping for someone to get a picture or two of the proposal, but being that we were from out of town, we didn't know anyone to help with that. I had contacted the front desk ahead of time to ask for help. Neither myself, or my now fiancé, would want to make a big scene out of the proposal with a photo shoot type situation either. My plan was just to have someone from the hotel be available nearby so I could give them my phone to take a picture with while I proposed. Well let me say the staff came through big time. After about 3-4 emails they had set me up with one of their employees (Megan) who happened to be a photographer as well. She helped me plan the timing and suggested a great location to do it as well. She also made sure it wasn't a huge undertaking and a big scene or photo shoot style proposal as well, which was a relief. Everything turned out better than I expected and cannot be more happy with out stay here. Additionally the rooms were beautiful overlooking Mirror lake, and the restaurant has some really good food. Definitely recommend staying here.
