  Best rooms of any casino in Nor Cal.

  I love Gold Country for several reasons. First, they have a great selection of the older slots that are fun to play and you actually win on. Second, their rooms all have a spa tub and are big and spacious. You will not find this anywhere else. Some even have a balcony which is really nice to have so you can open the sliding glass door and have fresh air in your room. After you've been gambling and in the hotel it's nice to have fresh air so you don't feel claustrophobic. They don't have room service, hell hops or other luxuries that most hotels do but it's not a problem for me because the rooms make up for it. Highly recommend.

  Sadly Disappointing

  I have been travelling to Oroville on business since January 2020. This was my third stay with GCC, as the other two visits had been pleasant. Believe me when I say, I'll never stay there again, and I hope this review will help guide others. So upon checking in to a King Curve Deluxe room for a total of 12 nights, no one mentioned there would be NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES for the duration of my stay. You'd think they would let guests know when booking the room that there would be limited services available! I am there on work, mind you, and out of the room for 12 hours at a time. So, after the first return to a dirty room, I called the front desk and asked what step I missed in order to return at night to a clean room. I was told - just call or visit the front desk in the morning and put your request in! Next day, that's exactly what I did. Guess what? I returned to the hotel 12 hours later to a dirty room. I went down to the desk and boy what an experience THAT was. If you can believe this, I was told to throw my dirty towels and trash INTO THE HALLWAY where it would be picked up during the night. Then I was given a few clean towels, a roll of tp, and some trash can liners. I am not joking. $200 per night room and hello, I am servicing it. Tia (front desk supervisor, rude) explained that they simply didn't have enough safety gear to have extra housekeeping staff cleaning every single room daily for extended stays. The housekeeping staff was not allowed to enter the rooms without a suit of sorts, in order to be protected from their guests germs, lol. In the meantime, all I need do was keep coming down every night and picking up clean essentials. Just leave the dirty towels in the room, throw them in the tub, I was told. So I wound up working out a deal with Ashley, who was slightly more pleasant. The hotel would clean my room every OTHER night, and on the opposite night, I would empty my own trash and pick up new towels. That's= right folks, not only did I get to pay $200 per night to stay there, I got to WORK for them for FREE! What a deal. This is akin to eating at a restaurant, paying full price, and then having to wash the dishes after. Anyhow, the hotel didn't keep their end of the bargain and I wound up doing my own housekeeping for 11 nights out of my 12 night stay. Yes, you read that correctly. So I can no longer recommend GCC for anyone. I understand we are in a pandemic and we are all trying to work things out together BUT the hotel should not have been opened if they weren't ready to accommodate guests. I am headed back out there in July for another two week stint, and made my reservations at Feather Falls. I was sure to ask them upfront what their room policy was during COVID and was told all was running smoothly, and rooms were being cleaned daily.

  rooms are wonderful but slots terrible

  the rooms are the best deal,,,gian jacuzi bathtubs....clean and fresh large bathrooms...they use to give me free nights on the weekends so wed go cause the other casino would have tribute bands shows and then wed have the room at this place,,,we had many great weekends here,,,but the slots wont let you win anymore..they use to but not now...you go through money like nothing flat..dont gamble as you wont win its a waste of money go for just the room..the buffet isnt that great either

  Inconvenient

  The hotel would not allow a vehicle to park close to the entrance while registering, registration took a very long time, luggage carts had to be checked out by leaving a drivers license and each guest had to be checked into the hotel at the front desk. Between two of us we had to stand in line four times. If we wanted ice, that would have been another wait in line. Further, luggage had to be carted into and out of the hotel a long distance. I would not stay here again even though the rooms were nice.

  One Night Stay

  My boyfriend and I decided to stay here at the last minute. The room was the only good experience we had. None of the restaurants were open. (Covid reasons). You couldnt get a beverage unless sitting at a bar playing a game. The staff seemed to be in a foul mood. I asked if I could have a bottle of champagne delivered to my room and they told me no. I asked if I could go down to the bar and bring a bottle of champagne back to my room and was told no. I called for more towels and they told me that I could come and get them. For the price I paid for the room, with nothing really offered, it just wasnt worth it.
