  Could be better, not worth the money

  We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is fine, just in the centre of this small village. However and as the hotel was fully booked, some things went wrong during our stay. Firstly when we checked in and went to our room, the room was not yet cleaned. We could not get another room so had to wait. Pretty annoying. The room had a good size but was pretty outdated. Secondly the breakfast is overall good, but with the lots of people joining for breakfast nearly at the same time and only a few people in service, we had to recognize that lots of food was not there and finished. Honestly do not understand this as the hotel knows how many people are there and could arrange for more people in the service. We had no dinner in the hotel as you have to eat in 'shifts' of one hour. Parking is free of charge.

  Good location, reasonably nice hotel

  This hotel is centrally located, close to attractions, shopping and restaurants. The main building is an impressive and well-kept 19th century building. Most rooms are in an attached modern building, however. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. They offer a fine spa and free parking. Wifi is also free, but the signal was 'on holiday' during our stay. In other words: Practically not available. The food at the restaurant is good, the service more or less ok. Strangely enough, we never felt 'at home' during our stay. The main reason is probably the staff, especially in bar and restaurant: Guests are very much treated as a 'commodity'. We won't be among their repeat customers.

  excellent quality for the price

  We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights with a Bongo-voucher. Very nice room with a balcony. Best of all: FANTASTIC buffet for breakfast ! Also friendly staff in the restaurant. Good area for visiting other places: Limburg a/d Lahn, Rotenburg a/d Fulda, Melsungen, Fritzlar, Schloss Bad Arolsen, ...

  Very good hotel for us (price/value)

  We stayed in this hotel in Bad Wildungen for 7 nights. Only for stay/food/swimming We did not sign on the spa/wellness services Pro's: Our room on the 4th floor was very spacious / 35m2. It could host two field beds for our kids easily. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and one sink - clean The buffet style breakfast and dinner are very good! You can choose your plate and mix ingredients. Perfect with kids. And the taste was very good! During the heat wave the hotel offered a complementary bottle of water during dinner. Attentive! We also receive a complementary bottle of sparkling water in the room, every day. We received complementary fruits and drinks at the swimming pool during day time On our way to the hotel we were delayed and had a late arrival. The reaction of the reception was fast and they offered vesper plate in our room as we missed dinner At departure the reception gave us water bottles for our way home (due to the summer heat - may not occur always) Swimming pool was clean - not too big but okay as it is not always a crowd. Plenty of car parks around the hotel (we used the side parkings at the rear end of the hotel as we didn't mind to walk). Car parking underground is to be paid extra You can decide to not clean your room and receive a small gift (chocolates/candy) in return. A nice gesture Con's: Our room was located at the front /street side = it can be noisy since there is quite some traffic going through the boulevard and we had to leave our windows open due to the heat wave when we stayed there. Upon arrival the two beds for the kids were not in the room - one notice to the reception and two field beds were delivered soon after :) No airco in the room - I don't really mind as it is not climate friendly but note that the windows of our room catch some sun and it can get hot Our room didn't have a terras - it may happen for you to know As in most hotels there are too few clothes hangers and coat hangers in the room. Trying to dry towels for 4 persons becomes a creative business which we get a hang of it by now There was no fridge in the room - we missed that one.. especially with kids You will not get appointed a fixed table in the restaurant. This one troubles me since upon arrival you expect someone from service to guide you to the table but as they are so busy cleaning tables (there are not enough tables for all rooms) you will have to figure out one yourself and hope that the table is dressed (or wait until it gets dressed once you ask). Personally, I'd change the seating process and the way how they welcome guests in the restaurant. But if you don't mind too much you can enjoy a good meal ;) Oh yes, it can get busy at the buffet - but there will be more quiet times also (restaurant opens at 18h till 21h) Conclusion: we booked this hotel last minute and for us this was a very good deal: price/value. If you like a clean hotel, good food in buffet style and you're not picky on some details then this will be perfect for you also!

  Marvellous hotel

  Good reception staff; beautiful luxe room; fantastic breakfast in buffet; diner also in buffet with a great range of choices; the candle-light-dinner was very good (4 courses, excellent service); the indoor swimming-pool was refreshing. Top hotel in a central location. It was regrettable that work was in progress in the spa/wellness zone. That was really disturbing but when it is finished it will be still better.
