  We really enjoyed our stay at Glen Morey. Tom, our host , was very friendly and provided great service and delicious food. Our room was beautiful and the house was located a convenient 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants in downtown Placerville.

  Lovely B&B

  This is a very lovely, traditional B&B. The rooms are a good sized and furnished with charm. It is very quiet, and breakfast was delicious! Tom is a gracious host. We love the B&B experience, and this was particularly pleasant.

  Pleasant surprise!

  We planned to go Tahoe but couldnt go up because of really bad snowstorms. We had to look for other accomodation at Placerville instead. Almost all hotels were fully booked but fortunately we managed to get 2 rooms at Glenmorey. It was already dark and very cold with light snow when we arrived there. We basically just walked-in to enquire for rooms. The place was dark and very quiet. Quite spooky too to be honest! But Tom, the person in charge, came out quickly after we rang the door bell and welcome us warmly. He showed us our rooms and the way around the country house and left us to do our own thing. The house is decorated nicely with stuffs from the old days. Very Scottish! It has a large living area with a piano and nice sofa set. The dining area is spacious too. All in all, we like the place though my daughters felt the place is a bit spooky with all the old Scottish deco.

  Great location

  This B & B is situated within walking distance to charming downtown Placerville. Its quaint, charming and old. The host Tom was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was scrumptious but portions too small. The room we stayed in was a serious need of refreshment. Linens were tired, bathroom was shabby and the bed was high, hard and had seen better days. Also, there was no housekeeping service, which was very odd.

  Charming stay

  My family of three stayed two nights in the Inverness room, it was quiet and relaxing. The king size bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was good. The host was nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. We all loved the pecan apple French toast. Location was perfect, just a quick five minute walk to historic Placerville shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back.
