Brought our own food and had a wonderful stay!

We booked 2 walk-out 1-bedroom suites (like a studio with living room, kitchen, queen bed, large shower bathroom, plus 1 bedroom with a king-size bed) with complete amenities, meaning the kitchen was fully stocked with microwave, fridge, stove top, pots & pans/utensils, plates/glasses/mugs, dish washing liquid & wipes, etc. etc. plus a terrace with table, 4 chairs and a grill. A folding hanger is also provided for wet clothes. We came prepared with our own food and had a marvelous time:))) Free parking. Pictures attached. Debbie Talbot, owner/manager was super nice to these Aseans:)))

    Always a delight

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and have always loved it. We are now based in the UK and have just stayed at Glenmore on our current trip to South Africa and it was great to stop in at this spot on the south coast of Natal again after several years.

    Glenmore Sands Beach Resort

We stayed at the Glenmore Sands Beach resort timeshare. It was highly disappointing, very run down, shocking condition compared to any other timeshare we have ever stayed at. I would never ever recommend anybody stay there. The facilities were pathetic and just not a nice place to stay.

    New Year at Glenmore Sands

It was our first time. Overall a nice holiday. Outside look a little old and run down as well a bit on the inside. But it was very clean when we arrived. It was serviced daily, fully. Friendly staff. Our unit (17) had a nice view (swimming pool, garden, beach). Just the unit (no 1) next to us their porch faces ours (although bit shielded) was a bit annoying with the people. Pool was great and sparkling. Garden was attended to on a daily basis. Walk down to the beach or other walking trails, skip across the road to the cafe. Apparently there is a games room with pool table and not sure what else, but even with my son of 12 we never went in. TV was a bit of a issue - loosing sound every now and then - although did not bother me I was reading at night. My husband is the viewer (LOL!). There were some improvements - new tiles and curtains. Old but still everything you need. No oven. No build in braai except for the ground level units. Was never a problem. We ordered one in the morning, they bring one up, next day they take it and clean it. Nice little restaurant downstairs called The Nightingale. . The Nightingale, a cargo vessel that ran aground on Munster beach in 1933. ... The dining area and foyer is decorated with memorabilia and photos of the old ship, creating a unique and historical dining experience. The remains of the ship's boiler can still be seen on the Munster Beach. Parking either in the resort parking area or when full across the road. 24/7 guards, not too far in any case and constant movement of people. Just over new years eve and new years day the beach gets a bit crowded, partying night times, and the RUBBISH LEFT by these people was the only downer on the holiday. Except for those 2 days the beach was clean and a pleasure with life guards. Can buy wi-fi at reception. Ceiling fans in both rooms. Not far from the Wild Coast and other places to visit on the days the weather is not so good.

A rather tired resort on the KZN South Coast

This resort offers apartments, some with a sea front view. Our apartment which was booked to accommodate 4 adult men, turned out to have a room with a double bed, a room with two single beds and a sleeper couch in the lounge. This was not exactly what had been requested but we made do. The rooms and furnishings could only be described a basic and dated. The level of cleanliness was borderline and the reception was less than professional. If you are seeking budget accommodation this is for you, otherwise look for somewhere else!
