  My friend and I have just spent a fabulous two days at this clean, comfortable guest house with Riley the dog. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely hosts, Carl and Stephanie, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the less than great weather. The food in the cafe is fantastic and we'd definitely recommend a stay in this delightful, book-filled place.

  Highlight of my Scottish trip.

  This was the best b&b I have stayed in, beautiful room, stylish and tasteful. Fantastic breakfast. I only wished I had time to stay a 2nd night. Gem of a place. Can not reccomend this high enough. The couple who own it were fantastic!

  Superb place to stay

  Spent two nights here in August 2020. Pet friendly, very clean and tidy. Very good rooms. Great meals and very friendly and attentive owners. Most enjoyable stay....highly recommended....10 out of 10. In a very interesting area, lots to see and do. Wigtown itself is well worth a visit

  Wonderful food

  What a wonderful little cafe! Great food. Great service. We sat outside at lunch and it was fab. Super friendly staff too. The soup of the day was delicious. My husbands pie was spectacular. Definitely recommend!

  An excellent guest house!

  We returned home yesterday after 3 nights at the Glaisnock Guest House, having been initially concerned about going away in the middle of the Covid crisis. We found the Glaisnock to be very clean, comfortable and fully set up for social distancing. The staff could not have been more welcoming, and we enjoyed hearty breakfasts and evening meals (in our case, vegetarian) for the duration of our stay. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and excellent value for money. We look forward to returning in the spring.
