  nice and quiet

  It was a pleasure to stay in this apartment. The living area was very spacious. The kitchen was clean and well set out and bedroom was an average size. Undercover parking was a bonus. We had a short walk to the Towncentre to find coffee and food for Dinner. Gladstone has and amazing park/walk along the river and is well worth the effort to go and enjoy the views from the boardwalk. We also took the time to watch the fountain display in the park ( close to dusk is even better )

  Expected better

  Booked an overnight stay based on reviews, which had me questioning what they see and what we saw. Despite the apartment and the complex, the service was really helpful and friendly during check-in and when an issue was raised with our room. The location is great too in the CBD. The rest of what we discovered was just odd, particularly for a a fairly new complex clearly built to accommodate FIFO workers. The first room we were placed in (505) had no wifi at all. We have children 10&13 who had just travelled 7hrs in the car and wanted to relax and chill with their devices...no wifi for any of us. I inquired about it at the front desk and one of the staff came to double check the signal in the room, then offered to relocate us to another which we took up. We ended up in the closest room to the front entrance (501), where we were able to access wifi. If I was a FIFO worker, I would definitely not be happy not being able to access WIFI easily in a new build. Seeing 2 rooms, they were pretty much identical with furniture, both had uncomfortable small lounges in a very small lounge area, both had stained carpet throughout and both had no view except of the accommodation next door. The complex layout is very odd. The outdoor pool, bbq area and fitness room is on level one. You have to take the lift down to level one, walk through the undercover carpark while following a couple of vague directional signs. We first discovered the bbq area which is nowhere near the pool area and overlooks the carpark driveway. As we walked away from the BBQ area we discovered the fitness room, then further down the path we finally found the pool with views of the houses across the street. Check-in isnt till 2pm, however the pool is mostly in shade by that time and not heated. Even on the 28 degree day we were there, the shaded pool was too cold to swim in. With the complex layout, including the location of the reception desk on a different street to the carpark entrance and the apartments we saw, it is a very average place to stay at $200 for the night.

  Good location and large apartments

  Have stayed here several times on business - usually a week at a time - although this is my last. Whilst the apartments are modern, spacious, well furnished, and well located they leave a bit to be desired wrt cleanliness and maintenance. Stained bedding has been a regular for the last couple of stays, which could be addressed with washing. floors need a good clean (this area does have a bit of coal dust to deal with) although it's more than that. Bathrooms are a hit and miss affairs Kitchens are Well fitted out, although Grubby kitchen appliances probably just need a regular wipe over. There's a very basic daily service. The overall complex facilities are great, as are the views from the large balconies, location is quiet and staff are friendly. There's a lot to like, but unless maintenance and cleaning pick up then it's not for me anymore.

  Smelly, dirty and no facilites dont stay here

  This hotel is very tired and run down. The rooms are dirty and have definitely seen better days. The cleaners must not be very good at all as there was dust everywhere. The room only had 3 plates so when we sat down to dinner in our apartment my husband had to have his in a bowl. We went down to the pool which was the only reason we chose this hotel and we had to sit on the floor as there were no chairs in the pool area. When we asked why we were told that kids had been jumping the fence and destroying them. We asked if they could put some there in the afternoon as we had guests coming but they didn't do so. The pool also had plant pots around it with dead plants what is the point of that. The toilets were also locked from the inside which was very annoying. But by far the worst was the smell the whole of our floor smelt like rotten rubbish as the rubbish chutes cant of been emptied and in the heat it was just going off. The smell was absolutely putrid. Also in the basement where our car was parked there were piles of rubbish just dumped next to the lift. Definitely a fire and health hazard.

  Maintenance and complaint handling are terrible

  Air conditioner dripped water and was unusable. They dont take complaints seriously and blame the customer instead of dealing with the issue. Dont stay here. Also signage to pool is terrible, easy to get locked out thinking you are going to the pool.
