  I am from Chandigarh. I booked online ginger Jammu. Services of hotel and attached mess are very good. administration staff is very very much cooperative. I wish if I will come again, I want to see them again and tq so much Manoj pant

  Cheating in the name of Ginger by IHCL

  Chose this hotel due to the Ginger by IHCL . Expecting that brand standards of Ginger will be available however actual situation was far away. Family Room no 15 was allotted. Pictures shown in Booking.com was not even 1% true against actual room. Stained head rest. Dusty window blind . Cracked luggage rack, stained tea/coffee maker seems never cleaned. Bathroom - WC seat color was yellow and wobbly. Towel has red and black color stains. Pathetic hygiene. Food - ordered tomato soup. Cold soup was served. Hot was sent however never tasted like tomato soup. Later I was told that prepared by a junior chef. Clearly he doesnt know recipe. Hot air blower placed burnt within 5 minutes. Requested for a replacement. Maintenance person brought another which was also not working . Requested him to check first and bring . He banged room door while leaving. Explained situation to reception. I was informed Manager left for the day but I will receive a call from him. Never received any until checkout. Vipin - Captain in the restaurant and the server were the only professional person who had shown empathy. In short, this hotel is cheating in the name of Ginger by IHCL and actual product is far away from the minimum brand standards. I have put real pictures of rooms and bathroom which can be easily compared with the Booking. Com pictures.

  Overall good experience

  Restaurant: 4.8/5 Best part is food in the restaurant and hospitality Mr Manoj showed us. I have been to many places where folks are hospitable by profession but I guess Manojs hospitality is by nature and genuine. Breakfast spread is good. We had dinner in the restaurant and it is very tasty and far better than other places in Katra town. Facilities: 3.5/5 Hot water was available most of the time except the last day and the staff werent proactive to check if the heater is turned on. We had to take cold water bath. Tata sky connection was deactivated due to low balance, when informed it was reactivated. Internet is slow(perhaps due to the situation in Jammu). Complimentary water bottles were provided. The travel desk has standard prices and they charge same fares as outside cabs. Ample parking place. Half km from Niharika Bhavan. Lift is available for elders who cant take stairs. Value to money: 3.5/5 Overall experience: 4/5 Restaurant is the saving grace and Id highly recommend guest to have food there. Restaurant prices are nominal and food is tasty.   Amazing stay !!!

  It was overall a very good stay with amazing view of mountains I would 5 stars to this place as staff was very friendly and humble Specially Kakaram ji ki special chai !!! But had to cut 1 star for room not with centralized heating However it was managed by team here with blower but still it can be improved. Rest overall recommended place to stay while the visit !!   Nice. Value for money

  Location is near Katra railway station, little away from Banganga. The hotel provides drop facility on chargeable basis to Bangaga. We had booked two family rooms with two kingside beds in each room. The rooms were clean, tea/ coffee in room was available. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Staff is helpful. Extended our stay in the room on first evening as we were to change rooms for second night. They even arranged a massage in the evening after tiring up amd down walk to Mata Vaishno Devi temple. We did not eat food in the hotel though had some snacks which were good. Breakfast was average. Overall a nice experience and value for money.
