Aún recuerdo y me dan escalofríos..

Not as good as it seemsFirst of all, the hotel has a great concept. But in reality, it doesn't seem to work as it should. The time of the year of your visit matters if you want to actual see birds, then the rooms are not up to date. The rooms are dirty and old, they will need an update. After arriving we decided to look for another hotel/resort on gili Meno once we checked in, since we didn't want to stay in this place anymore... So dirty... We didn't want any money back, so they could spend it on renewing the hotel. Sorry for the review, but people need to know the hotel is not what it used to be. Hope you will try your best to make the hotel look good and people will feel comfortable to stay in this place again.

Bird parkDon't go to the bird park. The animals are dying there. It was really disgusting to see in whar conditions they were kept. I believe it once has been one big cage but now all the animals were in small cages. Crocodile in a small dirty pool. Birds wings were cut off so they couldn't fly.

senior travellerMy husband booked this place so he could see the birds. Upon arrival we found out that the resort has been sold and the new owners gave the birds away. Plus the crocodile which I didn't know was there. The place needs a lot of work but I can say that the rooms were very clean, the staff very helpful and fun to converse with. Even tho there was no hot water we were able to shower because comfortably as either I or the water temp increased during the day. There is going to be a lot of work done, rooms will be gutted and redone at xmas 2017. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like when all the work is done. I found the meals on the beach for me were better but there are 3 places very nearby for meals at reasonable prices.

Sad placeThis is a review of the so-called "Bird Park" itself, rather than the accommodation. I hesitate to write damning comments on Trip Advisor but this place should be shut down. After what seemed a rather pricey entrance fee, we were guided around a small depressing-looking compound where birds were kept singly in small, quite dirty cages. There were some exotic birds, but many of them were birds I can find in my own garden in Australia. Then there was the crocodile enclosure which had a poster of Steve Irwin on the outside. He would turn in his grave if he could see the way this animal was kept. I could barely look at it myself, lying in a small pool of filthy water. So small it would not have been able to turn around. We had to dissuade the guide from poking the poor creature with a stick to wake it up. As another reviewer mentioned, a baby deer was also kept on its own and did not look well at all. I left feeling quite appalled. Unless you enjoy seeing beautiful creatures imprisoned in dreadful conditions, avoid like the plague.
