Long weekend stay for a family wedding.Everyone was extremely friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, there was always someone on duty at the desk even at 1am! The reception staff spoke very good English and were extremely helpful to a couple in our party whose luggage was lost by BA and to another lady who had a fall, calling the ambulance and getting her checked out (she was ok). Our room was modern, extremely clean and well equipped with TV, air-con, clean towels every day and the added benefit of a fridge containing bottles of water. The location was slightly out of town, we did not have a car and may have felt slightly cut off if we hadn't had lifts with friends. We did walk into town once and back! It was very hot and took us just over half an hour to the outskirts. The breakfast choice was excellent, just what we needed: warm croissants, yogurts, fresh fruit, biscuits etc. excellent coffee delivered to your table with a friendly smile. Even the cleaners wished us "Buon Giorno" and happpily sang away whilst mopping the floors. Free wi-fi acces but did not reach as far as our room, we had to be downstairs in the vicinity of the lobby to connect to the server. As is often found in Europe, there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and our only criticism was that there was no bar! We could only buy drinks from the garage opposite. A swimming pool would have been a delightful addition! Altogether a beautiful hotel with delightful seating areas inside and out. Beautiful clean and tidy gardens. We would certainly return to this hotel. We paid by credit card.

Pretty picture on the outside...but....We bike around Italy. When we pulled into the hotel, the hostess was very nice and allowed us to store our bikes securely in the garage. There is no bar, no where to get something to eat (until 8 pm) and that is not good if you have been biking all day, you are hungry and thirsty! Without a car, one is trapped. And after 100 K on the bike, the last thing you want to do is get back on the bike to look for something to eat. Room and bathroom were clean, but for 90 euros/night I expected more than the bare minimum. The view from the rooms was depressing. Not an orange tree in sight, just bare ground and trash, very different from the picture of the front of the hotel.. The "restaurant" next door finally opened and that was worse. Huge facility. One waitress. 3 tables of guests. 1980's music blaring. No decent wine and even after we ordered the house wine, we had to ask her a couple of times to bring it. Then finally our food arrived. You can't go wrong with pizza in Italy, but we only ordered that as it seemed the safest thing on the menu. Nearly had to beg for the check. Next morning, we just wanted a quick caffe' at 7 AM before we departed on our bikes. Could not wait for the breakfast which was not available til 730. They would not even give us a quick cup. (Italians can make coffee quicker than you can open a soda.) Very depressing situation! Don't waste your money here!

Decent option for Martina Franca, but not the bestI have been in a business trip and got the chance to stay here. Well the hotel is decent. I don;t know the level of hotels in Martina Franca, but i heard is one of the best here. 1. Rooms Decent size. The tv is very complicated as you need to spend some 5 minutes to understand the process of how to open and change channels. Anyway the good part is that i found a romanian tv station. Which by the end was a good thing. The bed not the best. Quite rough the mattress. But the room was very clean and was cleaned everyday. And the heating system was not the best but fortunately the temperatures were not very cold. 2. Bathroom Decent and clean. I would say that the shower is rather for a small person. Or thin. 3. Breakfast Not to many choices. Sometimes we had fruits. At least the coffee was good. 4. Overall VERY IMPORTANT. The hotel is 2 km away from the city center. And in Martina Franca there are no taxi. So is important to rent a car if stay here. Otherwise you will walk a lot or you will pay around 40 Euro to get to city center. Also very important. Get provisions as during nigh-time there is nothing open so you may exhaust of thirst or hunger :) Also be prepared to know some Italian. Is the only language they speak. :) Should you stay here? Unless you don't pay you should choose a hotel into the city center.
