  Plain, simple, near beach

  A small complex inside an olive grove about 100m from the sandy beach of Platys Yialos, Giannakas offers simple, adequate rooms. It is clean and has the bare necessities: a small fridge and range, some plates, cups and utensils. It is pleasant enough, but far away from memorable. If they ask extra for breakfast skip it, it is a tiny basket of Nescafé, honey and marmalade packages, plus some tiny pieces of fryganies (rusks). They dont even bother to replenish it properly after each morning. Bottom line: if the price is low enough and you are ok with adequate, Giannakas is a decent place to spend a few nights. Otherwise, there are much better choices nearby.

  Amazing spot!

  Simple, quaint, stunning garden. A block from the beach, this place was amazing. The staff, Despina, was so helpful and kind. She really went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. Very affordable, and in a great area. Would recommend to anyone on a budget, or looking for a nice quiet place to escape and rest at the end of the night. The patio off of our room was so full of life, covered by old grape vines, shaded all day. I'd stay her again in a heartbeat. Parking available if you have a car. Lovely parting gift of homemade lemoncello.

  An enjoyable stay at the studios

  Our stay at the studios was very pleasant and we found the room clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The location is excellent being so close to the beach, yet not on the beach so you get some peace and quiet. The lady who seemed to run the property was very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that the breakfast was quite underwhelming and it could have done with something more substantial, such as croissants or cake, rather than just biscuits. Overall, an enjoyable stay and would recommend.

  Perfect stay in Milos

  We really enjoyed staying at Giannakas studios, the flat we stayed in was lovely and had all the amenities we needed and more. It was also nicely decorated and spacious, with a terrace which was perfect for breakfast or just chilling. The beach and all the restaurants and cafes are just a 3 minutes walk away, and it's easy to drive to everywhere else on the island. The management at Giannakas is welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend the studios.

  Greek island retreat

  A pleasant surprise tucked away, not exposed on the main road like most of the rental apartments along Platis Gialos beach, so we thought to be quite lucky actually. It's footsteps from the most magical beach of Sifnos, that is, Platis Gialos beach. The best restaurants in Sifnos are also along Platis Gialos beach. Regarding the rooms, they are spacious, superbly clean and organised, and the bathroom is petite but very charming, constructed in very Greek island style (For those who like interior design, it will give you inspiration). We had a large balcony, with charming country style tables and chairs. Greek hospitality of the staff so warm and welcoming, once again, going above and beyond for their clients. Thank you for offering us the soup of the day (Sunday) and our parting gift of your home made lemon liqueur. We will miss you. Kalimera et merci beaucoup.
