  Cozy hotel with EXCELLENT service

  We were on a shopping trip to Neumünster and decided to stay for two nights at the GHOTEL located in Kiel - about a 25 drive from Neumünster. We chose the hotel based on price, location and overall rating - and we were not disappointed. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted by the very friendly staff at the reception and got our room immidiately even though we arrived early. The room was clean and had all the necessities and a nice bathroom. The hotel is located about 3 kms from the city center and we decided to walk to the city as the weather was excellent. Upon arriving back at the hotel later that evening, the taxi did not accept credit card and we did not have enough cash to pay the driver. The friendly staff at the reception was extremely helpful in this situation and they paid the driver the small amount (about 1 Euro) we were missing for the fare - no questions asked. Considering how cheap our stay was, this is way above and beyond what could be expected. Breakfast was a nice continental breakfast and at a reasonable price - and again the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Cannot stress how well we were treated during our stay. The hotel itself is nothing special - but pretty good for a 3 star hotel and excellent for the price. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

  Peacefull place and very clean room

  When se arrived to hotel there was a little wierd situation on The reception. We already had checked The room Price from bookkng.com. when we asked The price for night it was something Else. It was about 30 More. So we of course .made our resevation with booking.com. I think it's a little wierd that they don't know what kind of deal they are doing with booking. But the hotel it was nice place and we got lovely room from third floor. And wifi Works well even If we were so high. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and night quiet. We arrived by our own car and that's why big plus is the hotel own parking area.

  Very restful night & awkward morning.

  I arrived late at this hotel having driven from England early morning all the way to Kiel. I checked in after midnight. I was exhausted , I hit the bed and fell asleep after a swift shower. Despite being tired, I noticed the room was very clean as was the shower, the beds and covers. Cleanliness is very important to me. The beds were also comfortable. The check in was easy and swift, the guy at the desk was helpful. As I was so tired I appeared to have slept right through until after the check out time, and was woken by two guys in my room telling me I needed to leave the room. I do not think they meant it in a bad manner , their being non-native English it can come across as somewhat impolite. Perhaps they were worried I had passed out , hence the two of them , i don't know. It was all fine, smiles and laughs afterwards. The gentleman at the reception made an excellent cup of coffee for me and said it was complimentary. There is free parking. It is secure and cosy environment. I recommend.

  Clean and basic

  If you have no need to be in the city centre, this a place for you. Things are done a little different here. F ex the fridge is empty and you pay when you check in. Parking area is just outside and it is free. No restaurant so you need to go out for a meal. There is a small restaurant within 5 minutes walk. Good room and beds. Excellent buffet breakfast. Exit to the motorway nearby. Young lady at the reception offered no assistance with our luggage - :(

  Average hotel with lovely staff

  The hotel is pretty basic but is okay for a short stay. Lacking some comforts but very clean and fairly roomy. The staff are lovely and breakfast was good. Dinner is not available but a very short walk away is a German Restaurant called The Posthorn. The menu is a little limited but the food is fantastic. (see my separate review for them) There is also an Italian Restaurant about 10 minutes walk away and that is good too. Thank you for our stay with you GHotel
