  G4 Holiday Hotel in Harin, China

  We came for the Ice Festival and got very lucky with this hotel. It is in the center of everything; short walk and you are there. This is very important in the winter, because it is VERY cold and you need to constantly warm up. Directly behind the hotel is "The Gloria". In front of the Gloria is the Songhue River where the festival takes place. Walking street and the railway are just down the street. Across the river is the ice carving festival park. Bring Chinese money and dress VERY warm in the winter. The hotel has English speakers and is clean, comfortable, warm, and has large rooms. We were happy and lucky with this cheap hotel; think we paid $38. Oh, cheap taxi to the airport - get a limo.

  below par hotel

  pros that we experienced was its good location and very friendly lady manning the convenience store near the front desk - though we did not understand each other, she was so kind enough to accommodate us. cons: very old facilities - rm heater and water heater were on and off - we observed that during the wee hrs of the morning, the rm heater is turned off or got busted! Good thing this happened on our check-out. We experienced -25 C temp! Good thing the blankets and comforters were enough to shield us from the extreme cold. Food was good EXCEPT for an unfortunate hair I found in the pastries! front desk clerk and even the manager on duty do not speak any english!

  Good location

  G4 Holiday is in a very good location. Very close to Central Street (turn right from hotel). Few minute walk to the Flood monument. Breakfast varies however they do not have water in the drinks corner and its very difficult to ask the waiter for water since they do not speak English. The room heater as well as the water heater do not work properly. There is small shop in the hotel lobby. Price is reasonable. The owner is very accommodating.

  Good location

  The hotel is located close the Central street, Songhua river and few steps from Zhaolin park. The staff can't speak English, most of the guests are Chinese. We used google translate to communicate. They are nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay. There were not many tables and seats. The room is okay, no view, the window is open to dark and dirty wall. The bathroom was not very cleaned. The shower head was stuck with dirts. Prices was high during festival.

  Good location and big room

  I have stay here with my family at family room. The room ia really big. In the living room they got 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a toilet. They also have a room with a private bathroom, tv and a double size bed. The room had very nice lightning, the color is very nice. The staff is very friendly and alao helpfull. The most important is the location. Just go out from the hotel, turn right get the transaction and turn left.. Go straight until the end of the road. There are many shop selling souvenis, clothes, shoes, restourant. Is very convinient. This is smart choice for hotel at harbin
