Another case of a guest house owner not being forthcoming about the parking situation!!Myself and my partner booked a room here as we were seeing a show at the pavilions and we knew that this area was close. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely lady who alerted the owner to the fact that we were there and that we needed a place to park as the booking.com advert stated that there is free parking. The owner then led us to the area where his customers are expected to park. It was a damp, dark and sloped cobbled alleyway less than 2 meters wide. We have an Audi Q3 and whilst we could have made it down there we wouldn't have been able to get out of the car! AND we did not fancy the reverse back up in the morning. Plus if anyone else had pulled up in behind us we would have been stuck! We asked where the alternative spaces were. The owner moved his car so we could park opposite the hotel but we had to pay £5 for the permit. We don't mind paying £5 but we detest false advertising when it comes to hotel and guest house stays. We told him he shouldn't advertise free parking as if your car is an estate or any larger than ours then you would be forced to pay the £5 parking permit. He basically then told us we were talking nonsense. We left it as we did not want to argue. The room itself was fine. Very small and very basic. Would certainly not return to this guest house.

Nice placeCheap, get exactly what you pay for not all rooms are en-suite. In a good location near the Hoe and not to far from town which will be needed. Only down side no breakfast and the pub next door does not open until mid morning.

Great place to spend the nightThis was a nice, solid, reasonably priced place to stay. As there were no double rooms left, Nigel gave us a larger family room for the same price as a double room. The room was clean, well-taken-care-of, and really we have no complaints. The place seems to have been around in Plymouth for a long time, is fantastically well-located, and is really all that one could hope for- and great owner!

Definitely would recommend.I stayed here with my sister for New Years Eve, Really nice place to stay people were really friendly, was really clean and the beds were comfy, the prices were affordable and will definitely stay here again, I also left a pair of earrings behind by accident and they didnt even question posting them for me, I really recommend staying here.

B&B stay over with familyWe had a 1 night stay over in Plymouth and stayed and this family owned B&B Although very dated room and there was no breakfast available. It was suitable for a family of 4 with 1 double and 2 single beds. Clean and tidy just needs updating. Good location for a wonder around town and harbour.
