The best hotel we've been to in our trip to ItalyMe and my boyfriend visited Italy for the first time and we went on a low budget trip. This maybe the most expensive hotel in our trip but it was incredible and worth every penny. We spent at the hotel two nights. The hotel ran trough total renovation, so you can still smell the fresh wood. Everything there is wooden. It is basically a small family hotel which located next to small Italian farms in the area of Cardano-Kardaun and visited mostly by locals. The receptionist who was also the owner was very polite (but a little bit cold). There is WIFI in the hotel BUT it is limited to 4 houres per visitor for the whole stay (every one of us got a username and a password). There is also a very pleasant restaurant in which we had the most tasty meals of our trip. The waiter was very friendly and helpful.Originally we stayed on a bed and breakfast basis but for 30 euros we expended it to half board and believe us we didn't regret it. The rooms are small but cute and very very very clean. We were in the most simple room but it was comfortable: Big shower, extremely clean room as we already said and very pleasant in general. For better view ask for the rooms in the corner opposed to the road..The hotel surrounded by the mountains of the Dolomites and got spectacular places to go for a walk after dinner. However beside of this there is no were to go on foot, there is one pub you can go but other than this you won't have a shops, restaurants etc. So we suggest you to stay there if you have a car, in order to entertain yourself and travel around the magnificent sites of the Dolomites. Speaking about car, it is very confusing to get to the hotel without knowing the language (German or Italien) without it(car). To get there by public transport you should take a train to Bolzano-Bozen which is a sort of autonomic republic that belonged to Austria before the first world war and now full of german speaking people that most of whom refuse to speak english (like in most if the places in Italy) There are many buses that go to Cordano but the one you need is only line 182. We got on a wrong bus, arrived to Cardano went to the place googlemaps showed us that have the same address but was surprised that there is no hotel there. In order to save your nerves and time, we'ed like to recommend you to take a taxi from Bolzano train station to the hotel (That cost 20 euros) and on your way back you can take the bus (That cost 1.5 euros). Except from the confusion with our arriving part, everything was great. Especially we realy realy recommend the restaurant.

Nice stayStayed there for 1 night only. The restaurant is very good, the staff should be more polite for my taste, they took a long time to attend me. The rooms are very cozy and cute, nice comfy beds. For 1 day is perfect.

a truly valuable accommodationbeen there on Christmas week 2018. The rooms are clean, quiet, silent and comfortable. The only things missing were things we didn't really need (phone, fridge). There is also a nice relaxing areas in the basement. The food is extremely good and so was breakfast. Personnel are kind and welcoming. The hotel itself is conveniently located right out of Bolzano, on the way to Caresse lake, Ortisei and Passo Sella. Overall an excellent place
