  Enthousiastic young couple takes over a traditional Austrian hotel

  Sandra and Michel an enthousiastic Dutch couple bring new swinging and lively atmosphere in a traditional hotel. The hotel is in the village Bruck Grossglocknerstrasse. In summer a start for the famous high alpine road in winter only a few minutes drive of the Zell am See skipiste. Skibus right om front of the hotel. Also the trainstation opposite of the road

  character lodgings

  On a cool, rainy, miserable night in high summer my wife and I stayed for one night. Good points...a characterful traditional building, helpful and friendly staff and an excellent continental buffet breakfast. Not so good...noise transmission from room to room - it was possible to clearly hear guests talking in the adjacent bedroom, and no bedside lamps - the only light was a central ceiling light with a single switch near the door.

  Basic Hotel with Excellent Food

  The Gasthof is located on a quiet side street across from the Bruck train station and next to a rushing river. There is plenty of free parking onsite and a garage for storing bicycles along with a tire pump. We had a basic double full board, all of which was very reasonably priced. The room had creaky floors and drab decorations; one mattress was a bit too soft, the other a bit too hard, but it was very clean, and when the windows were closed, we hardly heard any noise from the trains (there werent many anyway). The set menu dinner was excellent and the portions very big. Service in general was very friendly. Breakfast included a very good selection of food, but the dining room was dimly lit and we would have appreciated the windows being closed as it was a bit too cool inside. The hotel has a sauna on the property enclosed in a giant wine cask which you can reserve and a nice sitting area nearby; there is also a childrens park. If it had been possible I would have given this hotel 4.5 stars; all in all very good value.

  Perfect week in Gasthof Post !

  The service is pleasant, with perfect breakfast for ski days ! Comfortable and clean room ! Every diner is excellent, thanks for these beautiful and delicious plates ! I recommend Gasthof Post for everyone who want to enjoy this beautiful location !

  Hidden gem

  Stayed 3 nights to do the Grossglockner. Easg to find, just off the main road, great food and great room, and free garaged parking for the bike. Good beer too. Station is opposite, so handy for exploring Zell am See, 6 mins and 4.60 away. And theres a few other bars and imbiss in the village, about 10 mins walk away.
