  Gasthof Krone in Helmstadt, one of my favorites

  This Hotel Krone is an quite, clean hotel, with good food in the restaurant. It is a friendly family hotel on the road to south Europe for me. Situated in a village not far from the highway and affordable.

  Very nice family hotel for travellers from Holland to Austria

  Excellent price / quality ratio. Recommended for families with children. The salad buffet is awesome. Also the restaurant menu and breakfast offer is very good, as well as very reasonable priced. If you are looking for a stop over on your way to the alps, this is the place. We will definitely come back here more often when travelling to Austria, Switzerland or Italy!

  Akzent Gasthof stay

  We stayed one night at the Akzent Gasthof on our drive through Europe. The rooms are typical German with a modernized bathroom. Unfortunately we didnt sleep to well due to the substantial heat (no AC or fan) and the traffic noice. Plus for the nice Biergarten where we had both dinner and breakfast.

  A charming somewhat "off road" hotel in Romantic Road (Germany)

  Once you are 'out of' the big cities, you're always prepared to "not so good" news... and surprises not exactly the best... We were just starting our one weeks trip along Romantic Road in Germany's heart! A lot of lovely cities, some small, other not that much. Very near Würzburg we found it charming small hotel with surprisingly good service and installations. And a lovely dinner to complete the experience. Congratulations to the owners family. Hope we can return some day.

  passing though on our way to Austria

  We stayed here just one night on our way to Austria for a skiing trip. It is a typical german hotel with restaurant. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my schnitzel and beer in the restaurant, great quality and large portions, just what I needed after a couple of hour driving. Would definitely recommend this hotel but I am nog sure if it qould be suitable for more than 1-2 nights.
