  Very comfortable without being pretentious

  Visiting family member working for 4 months in nearby Schwabish Gmund, and picked Gasthof Hirsch at random. Really pleased we stayed there. The owning family could not have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was very good size with lots of extras. Thoroughly recommend it as a friendly and welcoming hotel without pretension.

  Great service. Great food. Great room

  My wife and I stayed here a couple of years ago. I lived in Alfdorf when I was in the Military. It was my first trip back to Germany in many years. The atmosphere was still very welcoming. I really can't say enough good things about this place. The service, food and room were all more than we could have hoped for. It was like going home.

  Great place, Great food, Not so hospitable Andreas

  an excellent place to stay, great food both at the breakfast and dine in. very easy access. Very nice people the actual owner (Wardner couple). Andreas too rude with other colleagues of mine who moved to Pelikan hotel probably because it is the only hotel in Alfdorf., otherwise a wonderful place to stay

  Can't say enough good things about it!

  Absolutely the best! It's a small family owned hotel but everyone was very very helpful, and went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable. The room was laid out in an apartment style, with a small kitchen and a balcony. Providing a plate of fruit (plus chocolates!), magazines (in German, unfortunately..) in the room was such nice gestures by the owners. Breakfast was good, and I had an opportunity to have dinner at their restaurant - food was superb. Thank you very much to the Waldner family for making my stay a very pleasant one.

  This is a great place!

  We have visited Gasthof Hirsch a couple of times, and we have never been disappointed. Although their menu is fantastic, this time we asked for a little lighter meal. The small steak and the Käsespätzle were ablolutely superb! It's a pity it's so far from Sweden!
