  Great Hosts

  I Stayed In This Great Little Guest House 4 The Bank Holiday Weekend I Was In Room 1 A Very Comfortable Room Julia, & Paul We're Brilliant Hosts & Bella The Dog Was So Sweet Especially On My Last Breakfast The Choices At Breakfast Was Quite Extensive & The Jam's We're All Home Made & Very Tasty Indeed It Is A Short Walk From The Railway Station & Town As Well I Will Definitely Return

  Festival home from home

  Planning my now annual visits to Torquay to attend the Agatha Christie Festival are made easier by knowing exactly where I will be staying- Garway Lodge. I can be assured of a comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, fabulous food and very friendly and helpful hosts.Thank you.

  We received a very warm welcome from Julia and Paul. We were offered tea while we checked in, followed by a detailed explanation of the facilities available at the guest house. Julia was able to recommend a number of places where to eat. The room was ideal and the bed was more than comfortable. The choice at breakfast was expansive, with plenty of homemade jams on the table. The guest house is ideally located to walk to town (20 mins) or Cockington (25 mins). There was a regular bus service passing the guest house if required. Julia had recommended the Bull and Bush (15 mins) for an evening meal. It is well worth a visit. We received a warm welcome and food was served hot and quickly. The cost of the meals was more than reasonable(£8.75 for a sirloin steak). We enjoyed the meal that much, we returned the next evening. Julia and Paul were wonderful hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Julia was able offer plenty of advice about the attractions in the area. Nothing was to much for them. Parking is good. We shall go back again.

  Comfortable Room 7 Excellent food

  Excellent service and Great Hosts Nice Clean Comfortable Room with tv and tea and coffee ,biscuits available in the room , nice tasty Breakfast with plenty of choice big thank you to our hosts Julia, & Paul , will defiantly stay again

  Friendly, comfortable stay in Torquay

  I stayed at Garway Lodge for one night, before travelling on to meet friends. Julia was an excellent host, warm and welcoming though very aware of Coronavirus procedures. The room was small but very quiet and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. It is a 10 minute walk from the seafront and close to Torre railway station. I would be happy to stay at Garway Lodge again when I return to Torbay.
