No, no and did I say no?This is without doubt the worst hotel have stayed in for work or pleasure, and I include in the the establishments I stayed in while a student. I also travel around on average 1-2 times per month. This hotel may claim to be 4 stars and be a fixture of the Brasilia Hotel scene, but in reality this is a dirty, rundown mess which is a blot and shame on the captial city. How it can be allowed to claim 4 stars is also interesting, clearly it means nothing. To put this in context I was the guest of some other people here who had the misfortune to pay R$330 per night for the "best room" in the hotel. They were shocked with what they saw and took me out of there.. fast! I stayed one night out of a planned seven. They will not be putting anyone in there again. I will start with that is good about this hotel (1) staff (2) free fast wifi (2) good location. That is it, the staff are always friendly and helpful but I suspect this is only to mask the rest of the hell. The location is also excellent. On arriving in the hotel you will intially see what was previously a grand and most likely 60s reception area. This looks tatty and run down, however it is probably one of the nicer parts of this establishment. I would put the last major redecoration and furniture purchase in this hotel at somewhere between the 60s and the the very early 80s. The only bit of modern 80s funiture I could see was the dirty couches in my "suite". The rest is an awful 60s or 70s collection of falling apart funiture. I would also at this point state that the bathroom was a bit rundown, but the cleaners had clearly made an effort but it just looked awful. The state of this hotel really is beyond anything that is acceptable, retro chic can work when it is maintained but this is not the case here. The floors are dirty as are many parts of the furniture, they are simply beyond the age when they can be cleaned. Add to that the musty smell on entering and the awful stench in the cupboards and you get the idea. That aside it is clear that the staff try to clean the place but it is beyond cleaning. It is clear that at somepoint in the last few years an attempt at redecoration in the form of white paint took place. This was however a somewhat comedic attempt at painting, with for example paint being found on cupboards and even on the back of doors. Breakfast is a minimal affair which is among the worst I have come across for some years. Fortunately though you are only a few minutes away from two major malls with plenty of eating options and no doubt many other restuarants are near as well. In the end the final straw came when a couple of lizards decided to run around in my room, the friendly member of the hotel staff managed to catch one of them, but the larger one I initially spotted is no doubt still on the run somewhere. After checking that this was not normal with some local colleagues, I was swiftly moved to another hotel. In summary this hotel is vastly overpriced and simply awful. There is only one word I can use for this hotel "AVOID!"

No creditcards!!! Felt unsecure hereThe hotel is well located and cheap comparing to the others, the room is big with old furniture, cable TV, empty minifridge and a nice shower (hot plenty water). Very simple. Inside the minifridge there was a dirty dish (a glass plate, fork and a knife). The rest of the room including the bed sheets were clean. They doesnt accept credit or debit cards, i was shocked. Had to find my bank to get cash and walk around with the money, wich is quite dangerous in Brasilia. My last night there I saw a guest complaining about a robbery, and I`ve heard few creepy stories about this hotel from friends who live in Brasilia. I kept myself locked when in the room and locked my things inside the suitcase when I was out, and had no problems. There is a snack bar on the first floor and a shopping center next block, very easy to reach.

Malo.

Good valueLived there for 1 year. Really good location in downtown, close to everything, very safe, clean area. For the World Cup 2014 the reception staff learned some English. The staff is very helpful and friendly in this hotel. The room is simple, clean but not luxurious. The pool is big but the water is somewhat cold. Very clean. Overall, it's a quiet place except for the neighbors to your room, who can be noisy if you're unlucky and the World Cup period. The maintenance comes in 10-15 minutes after you report a problem and always fixes it. Perfect for short-term business trips. If you're looking for luxury, it's not here. In that case you better try Metropolitan Flat which is next to this one. P.S. The views from the 11th floor are stunning!
