  Lovely hotel!

  We stayed here for 2 nights as we had two MotoGP weekends and just wanted somewhere to relax for a view days. I really liked this hotel. The staff were sooooo friendly. Our room was big but it was on 2 different levels, didn't bother us, was nice having the separation. We got a room looking out the front of the hotel Wasn't noisy at all and it was a lovely walk into the little town. We were there August so it was pretty hot. We enjoyed laying around the pool and catching some rays, just chilling out which is what we wanted. I think other people have said but be aware when approaching the hotel you do go under a very small bridge/tunnel, I'd read about it before going so was aware of it but its signposted well. Also, look out for the cyclists when pulling out. We did have a meal in the restaurant one night which wasn't to brag about, was a bit of a let down for the hotel really but no complaints. Really enjoyed it and would stay again.

  Great hotel!

  Great hotel in a beautiful location. Yes, a little out of town, and moderately busy highway out front. Didn't affect us at all, and we had a 3rd floor room facing the road and river. Very friendly staff. Nice pool area...little problem with a fair number of bees. HUGE room, with very nice bathroom and nice sized balcony. Breakfast very good. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  Great hotel in quiet location

  An excellent hotel well situated for Durnstein but away from the crowds in that town. We were given a warm reception on arrival and the size of the room is enormous and needs to be seen to be believed! There is a fantastic heated pool on the roof with views over the Danube. Great food for dinner and breakfast and attentive service from the staff. Many thanks to all concerned

  A BRILLIANT PACKAGE

  The only disadvantage about this hotel was its location, a fifteen minute walk from Duernstein itself but the hotel is amazingly self-sufficient. The rooms are amazingly spacious, clean and modern in an American style. We had our evening meal and breakfast there. The food was exceptional. The breakfast was stunning with an incredible range of everything. After a long hike this hotel meets every requirement. It also has a wellness centre (everything free) and a swimming pool, all of this along the banks of the Danube. You could not choose a better hotel.

  A family visit to the Wachau Valley

  Stayed at here for three nights with my spouse and two daughters (ages 5 and 7) a couple of weeks ago. Wonderful place! The staff was especially helpful with local suggestions and practical assistance. Breakfast was great-all sorts of options to suit every palate. We also went to the restaurant for dinner one evening. It was good, but there are a lot of options in Durnstein and nearby also worth considering. Our room was massive-it actually had a second bedroom with two beds for the girls. The rooftop pool provided a welcome respite at the end of busy summer days. Worth considering-the hotel is a good 15 minute walk into the town of Durnstein itself. The boats are phenomenal, local buses are excellent (we took the bus to Spitz and Weissenkirchen), and the bike trail runs the entirety of the valley. We had no problem getting everywhere we needed without a car. Also-We visited during an unseasonably hot stretch, and the rooms do not have air conditioning. The staff provided fans on request. We would definitely stay again.
