charming small hotelWe found this charming small hotel by chance when we were trying to escape the unattractive hotel blocks of this town. It opened in May 2010 after a two year renovation by the young owners. The rooms, overlooking a lovely 2000m garden, are large and well designed, with all sorts of extras mini-bar, tea making facilities, safe, fruit bowl usually found in more expensive hotels. The welcome is warm and the buffet breakfast delicious. The hotel is in a peaceful spot within walking distance of the thermal baths. We would have liked to stay longer.

That' it, folks! While this was not the first place, a local German hotel portal suggested as a potential stay from the ratings, because the place has a new owner and hardly any ratings existed, this was a great surprise to me, as this was sure one of the best small hotels I ever stayed in, next to a place in Christchurch, New Zealand: Not only has the place a great location, situated very close by (some 9 miles) to the great Brother Grimm city "Steinau an der Strasse", is is also located in a garden like environment with free parking before the building and has a modern but cosy, family friendly style; We had a new decorated, nice room with a great, very clean bathroom, a healthy and fresh breakfast (try the home made fruit salat!) and received a very friendly, warm welcome... The landlady was always there, when you needed something...I wish, there were more places like this one! This place is the reason, why I subscribed to Tripadvisor, because I loved my stay there and wanted US and UK visitors to know about this very special place...a gem!

Nice place, fastastic serviceWe stayed one night in this hotel and were very pleasantly surprised. It's located in a very nice place, near the forrest, a lot of nature in the vicinity. The room we had was very spacious, with a balcony facing a lot of trees. The breakfast was simple, but we were really bought by the fact that upon departure the owner came out and brought us some water for our long journey home. A small gesture, but a really important one that really made us feel at home.

Charming, quiet, clean, comfortable and very thoughtful service.I am a regular at this very comfortable and quiet hotel. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the rooms are large, clean and quiet. Beds are comfortable and the garden adds an ever-changing picture from the breakfast room and many of the bedrooms. The owner is thoughtful and makes every effort to help guests feel welcome. The wifi is included and works well in every room I have been in. There is no restaurant in the hotel and there are several within a few minutes walk in Bad Soden. I use the Croatia or Auszeit in the town centre. A couple of kilometres away in the joint town of Salmuenster is Zum Braumeister which has an excellent menu and its own beer, brewed on the premises. A must try! The Gartenhotel Triest is one of the best small hotels I have stayed in.

Suberbly cleanThis little hotel is found in a small village of Bad Soden, 5 minute walk from the Terme Spa. The best part I liked was the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas. The lady who runs the hotel is very friendly and hospitable.
