  Perfect for our needs

  Stayed only 2 nights while visiting for a friend's wedding. Room was spacious and clean, had a desk, minibar, 2 chairs and small table. The bed was comfortable, we could have used more pillows... (Only 1 pillow each) The bathroom had a nice shower, heated floors, heated towel bar, hairdryer and space for your toiletries. There was a nice closet with 5 hangers, no iron or ironing board, but I guess you could request one if needed. We kept the DND sign on our door and housekeeping left us clean towels in a bag on our door knob. (Nice touch) Breakfast was what I would call continental - bread, cold meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, good coffee. The staff was friendly although I had limited contact with them. Perfect for our short stay in Mulheim.

  What a find

  This cozy and bright hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood and 5 minutes away from the town center. The rooms are clean as is possible, and the beds provide excellent sleep quality. Stephanie, who greeted and looked after us went out of her way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious and abundant.

  Great hotel for business stay

  I've stayed in the Garten hotel several times in the last few months whilst working in Mulheim. The hotel is on a quiet, mostly residential street located near the river. Rooms are clean, bright and airy and generally quiet. Some have a nice view out across the garden at the back.The beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are clean and good. Most rooms have a shower although one attic type room on the 3rd floor has a shower attachment in a bath rather than a shower. Rooms have a minibar, hairdryer and TV. Wifi is a bit patchy depending on how busy it is so not always the best for doing work from but overall it's not bad. Breakfast is a small buffet down on the ground floor and has a small selection of cereals, bread, yogurt, meats and cheese. Staff are friendly and helpful. The one thing I would say the hotel is lacking is tea/coffee facilities such a kettle and cups in the rooms. It would really make a difference for longer/regular stays. Overall I really like the hotel and will stay here whenever there is availability and I am working in Mulheim.

  Poor value for money

  Sparkling clean and friendly staff but at 90/night without breakfast, the room decoration is very simple, too boring, and amenities are low (no kettle, tea or coffee in the room). Soundproof from windows is not great and you hear the traffic outside.
